Projects Handled: Design & Build Package 2C (DUBAI), Etihad Rail (Long Distance Heavy Haul Freight 32.4 T Axle Load & Semi High Speed Passenger Traffic 200 Kmph) Project Cost: INR 4000 Cr Role:  Functioning as Deputy Project Director of the prestigious Mega Railway Infra Project (Design & Build) of Etihad Rail, 100 Km jurisdiction in Dubai State of UAE, with following key areas: o Provide to the Employer a fully functional and integrated, safe, secure efficient and reliable heavy haul freight and semi high-speed passenger mixed traffic railway to load and unload and transport freight and passengers in compliance with the requirements and specifications. o Design and Construction of Civil, Structures, Track Works, Lineside works and System enabling Works for Double Line Railway Involving formation in Embankments/Cutting, Sand Mitigation, Lineside Civil works, System enabling works, Ballast on Formation, Track Works, Bridges, Structures, etc. o Testing and Commissioning on Design & Build Package 2C (DUBAI), Etihad Rail (Long Distance Heavy Haul Freight & Semi High-Speed Passenger Traffic with design speed of 200 Kmph). o Achievement strict and tight completion targets for Project completion.  200 Track Km of New railway Track Construction including 01 Major Yard with canted turnouts, Slab Track of 6 Km applying modern railway technologies.  Developing the construction methodology for the Major Bridges Rail over Road and Road over Rail interfacing with the Major Road Intersections in Dubai including all the enabling works and Traffic Management requirements, to achieve the completion within Budget and target time.  Baseline Schedule preparation, which includes complete construction planning of Earthwork in Formation 16 Mn cum, Structures Concrete of 225, 000 cum and Steel Truss Bridge 6000 MT, Track Laying of 200 TKm.  Contract Management as per Etihad Rail GCC (Contract Conditions for Plant and Design-Build)  Developing and implementing Project Execution Plan, Construction Management Plan, Stakeholder Management, Risk Management, Interface & Integration Management and Systems Requirements.  Design Management, review & approval of geotechnical investigation, geometric design of railway alignment, hydraulic capacity of bridges and drainage structures, earthwork design, track design, Bridges (Major Bridges/Major Rail Fly Over/Major Road Under Bridges/Minor Bridges/Minor Road Under Bridges), level crossing design & installation and utility structures.  Design Review and implementation of new track technologies and Canted Turnouts design.  Identifying cost drivers and achieving the cost-benefit by Design optimization and effective Construction methodology using new and cost-effective technologies.  Leading the team for establishing the systems for the Construction i.e. prerequisites, staffing, HSE compliances, QA/QC system, Stakeholder approval, procurement & implementation.

• Functioning as an overall in charge of the prestigious project funded by world bank, 115 TKm jurisdiction with following key areas:
o Design and Construction of Civil, Structures and Track Works for Double Line Railway Involving formation in Embankments/Cutting, Ballast on Formation, Track Works, Bridges, Structures and
o Testing and Commissioning and trial run for the Heavy Haul Electrified Railway Track on Design-Build Lump Sum basis for Bhaupur-Khurja of Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor-Contract Package: LOT-302
• 115 Track Km of New Railway Formation, Civil & Structures work, Track Construction including 01 Major Yard with 45 canted turnouts and 10 IR Turnouts, applying modern railway technologies.
• Interface Management with Systems Requirements.
• Serving as a Chief Project Manager and administration of contracts as per design & build FIDIC Yellow Book provisions, Contract changes, variations and claims management
• Design, review & implementation/execution of geotechnical investigation, geometric design of railway alignment, hydraulic capacity of bridges and drainage structures, earthwork design, track design, Bridges (Major Bridges/Major Rail Fly Over/Major Road Under Bridges/Minor Bridges/Minor Road Under Bridges), level crossing design & installation, drainage structures, new track technologies and Canted Turnouts design, manufacture and installation.

• Provide Engineering, Technical and Managerial support to the Project Team, strong relationship building with client, development and implementation of Safety, Quality and Environment, Rail Safety systems for the Major Construction, Maintenance and up gradation of Suburban Rail Network and Heavy Haul Kalgoorlie Freight District, Brookfield Rail, WA, Australia
• Spearheading overall project operations entailing planning, execution and delivery of the Major Track Upgrade Project with strict environmental constrains and traffic windows
• Rendering Engineering, Technical and Managerial Support to the team in a major construction project, Butler Extension Project involving 20 km of new double line UP & DN Main (130 Kmph design line speed) and up gradation of big Yard involving construction of 6 km of track, 27 Turnouts (Swing Noses Type), Crossovers and link in connections with the operational track, in the Suburban Rail Network, as part of Capacity expansion.
• Functioning as Project Quality representative in the major Butler Extension Project, Suburban Rail Network, Perth.
• As person responsible for Quality assurance and control dealt with the Handing over of the New Constructed Track as part of commissioning.
• Measurement of the Track Parameters with KRAB and WINALC, its interpretation comparison with the optic track survey and submission to the client as part of Handing over and commissioning.
• In charge of Per way Maintenance project of approx. 900 Km of the Standard Gauge Track Heavy Haul Traffic (30 Tonne Axle Load) in Kalgoorlie Freight District for Brookfield Rail
• Planning, Organizing and Allocating Track Machines, Major Plant & equipment and other Track Resources for maximum utilization & performance through the project
• Conceptualising, formulating, maintaining and translating the Quality, OS&H, Rail Safety & Environmental systems to the Project Team entailing Safety, Quality and Environmental Risk Assessment & Management.
• Development of Work Place Risk Assessment, Activity Method Statements, Task Risk Assessments, Site Environment Plans & Inspection and Test Plans, process procedures etc.
• Development and review of Quality Management Plan, Workplace Health & Safety Management Plan, Rail Safety Management Plan & Environmental Management Plan etc.
• Partnering with client’s representative through formal meetings and informal discussions for timely delivery of milestones as per the agreed plans on Quality, Environment and Safety Management on all work requirements
• Assigning safety responsibilities to all project personnel, ensuring they are suitably trained and possess the necessary skills to undertake their designated environmental and OH&S responsibilities

o Prepared of Technical Feasibility Report, Detailed Project Report of Track works involved in various Railway Infrastructure Development related projects
o Carried out quantity surveying and preparation of BOQ’s of the Track work including costing involved in various Railway Infrastructure Development related projects
o Geometric design of elements of Railway Track, Yards and Layout Calculations for finalized route alignment
o Development of database for Railway Track related works, required for preparation of BOQs, bidding, execution of track work manually & mechanized means and sub contracting the work in work packages
o Coordinating, Planning division of work into contract packages, assistance in tender document preparation, evaluation, award and administration of contracts for sub-contractors/consultants
o Mobilization of Construction Functions, Preparing Construction Methodology & Segment Quality Plan for getting the final approval from client through Project Manager
o Preparation of the bid for the track works involving technical feasibility, process procedure, methodology statement, WBS, estimates, Scheduling & resource planning, Subcontract Management.

Functioned as Section Engineer / Permanent Way of the Group A Electrified Route, Broad Gauge :
o Conducted routine inspection of track i.e., inspection of work gangs, small track machines, level crossings, point and crossing inspection, curve inspection and maintaining the permanent way inspection diagram as per the Indian railway permanent way manual
o Tested running qualities of track with the help of Electronic Track Recording Car; acted as key member responsible directly for the safety of the track being vigilant to locate faults in the P Way and promptly remedy them by prioritising, planning and organising resources
o Preparation of the proposal of track works based on various track inspections and periodical maintenance items for submission to the division for the approvals.
o Planning, programming and execution of routine Track maintenance & construction works by combination of both manual and mechanized means, of Open Line section.
o Scheduling, resource planning and contracts management.
o Checked the quality and quantum of work and submitting progress reports on works periodically of approx. 110 Km in both UP & DN Electrified section on Group ‘A’ Route with speed potential of 130 - 160 kmph, and traffic with Annual Gross Million Tonnage of 38 - 42
o Procurement of track materials and stock management, accountal and periodical verification of Unit stores and small tools & plants.
o Preparation of Daily & Monthly Construction Plans, Weekly & Monthly Construction Target fixing, maintaining a low Inventory, optimization of Construction Materials, as per the IRPWM guidelines and reporting to the Division
o Interaction and Coordination with other Railway departments i.e. Works, Bridges, Signalling, Electrical and Carriage & Wagon for planning and execution of works.
• Managed track maintenance work viz., PQRS working, for Mechanized Track Laying, BCM working for deep screening, CSM -3X working for tamping of Plain track, UNIMAT working for tamping of Turn outs and T 28 working for laying of Turnouts, etc.
• Performed as an:
o Administrative Head of the unit, efficiently dealt with various establishment matters including assistance for selection on promotion for key posts of Group IV staff, preparation of pay bill and welfare activities.
o In-charge of Major Ballast Depot at KAV with annual Intake and Training out Capacity of 250 Thousand cum including quality and quantity check i.e. taking up of supply, strict Quality control, testing, quantity check & subsequent loading and training out in Railway wagons to the entire S.E Railway Zone
o Established Ballast Testing Lab and performed quality tests for the acceptance of the Railway Ballast.
• In charge of special contractual works for open line track maintenance i.e. Through Deep Screening (Mechanized) by BCM, Through Track Renewal Mechanised by PQRS.
• Carried out engineering survey work for finalization of alignment of new line construction at KAV Station (Shunting Neck); KAV Yard remodeling planning including conversion of 1 in 16 T/O by 1 in 12 PSC Fan Shaped T/O and Layout Calculations, etc.
• Executed QA check of PSC Bridge Slab casting Yard and Load Testing of same for HM Loading Standards including design check calculations; Bridge Girder Renewal with PSC Slab for Railway Bridges with the help of 150 MT on track Crane during Traffic Block period
• Undertookthe construction of Steel Foot Over Bridge at KAV Station, NGP Division complete from footing to the erection part with the help of Railways 150 MT on track Crane under traffic block.
