Projects Handled: Design & Build Package 2C (DUBAI), Etihad Rail (Long Distance Heavy Haul Freight 32.4 T Axle Load & Semi High Speed Passenger Traffic 200 Kmph) Project Cost: INR 4000 Cr Role:  Functioning as Deputy Project Director of the prestigious Mega Railway Infra Project (Design & Build) of Etihad Rail, 100 Km jurisdiction in Dubai State of UAE, with following key areas: o Provide to the Employer a fully functional and integrated, safe, secure efficient and reliable heavy haul freight and semi high-speed passenger mixed traffic railway to load and unload and transport freight and passengers in compliance with the requirements and specifications. o Design and Construction of Civil, Structures, Track Works, Lineside works and System enabling Works for Double Line Railway Involving formation in Embankments/Cutting, Sand Mitigation, Lineside Civil works, System enabling works, Ballast on Formation, Track Works, Bridges, Structures, etc. o Testing and Commissioning on Design & Build Package 2C (DUBAI), Etihad Rail (Long Distance Heavy Haul Freight & Semi High-Speed Passenger Traffic with design speed of 200 Kmph). o Achievement strict and tight completion targets for Project completion.  200 Track Km of New railway Track Construction including 01 Major Yard with canted turnouts, Slab Track of 6 Km applying modern railway technologies.  Developing the construction methodology for the Major Bridges Rail over Road and Road over Rail interfacing with the Major Road Intersections in Dubai including all the enabling works and Traffic Management requirements, to achieve the completion within Budget and target time.  Baseline Schedule preparation, which includes complete construction planning of Earthwork in Formation 16 Mn cum, Structures Concrete of 225, 000 cum and Steel Truss Bridge 6000 MT, Track Laying of 200 TKm.  Contract Management as per Etihad Rail GCC (Contract Conditions for Plant and Design-Build)  Developing and implementing Project Execution Plan, Construction Management Plan, Stakeholder Management, Risk Management, Interface & Integration Management and Systems Requirements.  Design Management, review & approval of geotechnical investigation, geometric design of railway alignment, hydraulic capacity of bridges and drainage structures, earthwork design, track design, Bridges (Major Bridges/Major Rail Fly Over/Major Road Under Bridges/Minor Bridges/Minor Road Under Bridges), level crossing design & installation and utility structures.  Design Review and implementation of new track technologies and Canted Turnouts design.  Identifying cost drivers and achieving the cost-benefit by Design optimization and effective Construction methodology using new and cost-effective technologies.  Leading the team for establishing the systems for the Construction i.e. prerequisites, staffing, HSE compliances, QA/QC system, Stakeholder approval, procurement & implementation.

SECTION ENGINEER at INDIAN RAILWAYS

Functioned as Section Engineer / Permanent Way of the Group A Electrified Route, Broad Gauge :
o Conducted routine inspection of track i.e., inspection of work gangs, small track machines, level crossings, point and crossing inspection, curve inspection and maintaining the permanent way inspection diagram as per the Indian railway permanent way manual
o Tested running qualities of track with the help of Electronic Track Recording Car; acted as key member responsible directly for the safety of the track being vigilant to locate faults in the P Way and promptly remedy them by prioritising, planning and organising resources
o Preparation of the proposal of track works based on various track inspections and periodical maintenance items for submission to the division for the approvals.
o Planning, programming and execution of routine Track maintenance & construction works by combination of both manual and mechanized means, of Open Line section.
o Scheduling, resource planning and contracts management.
o Checked the quality and quantum of work and submitting progress reports on works periodically of approx. 110 Km in both UP & DN Electrified section on Group ‘A’ Route with speed potential of 130 - 160 kmph, and traffic with Annual Gross Million Tonnage of 38 - 42
o Procurement of track materials and stock management, accountal and periodical verification of Unit stores and small tools & plants.
o Preparation of Daily & Monthly Construction Plans, Weekly & Monthly Construction Target fixing, maintaining a low Inventory, optimization of Construction Materials, as per the IRPWM guidelines and reporting to the Division
o Interaction and Coordination with other Railway departments i.e. Works, Bridges, Signalling, Electrical and Carriage & Wagon for planning and execution of works.
• Managed track maintenance work viz., PQRS working, for Mechanized Track Laying, BCM working for deep screening, CSM -3X working for tamping of Plain track, UNIMAT working for tamping of Turn outs and T 28 working for laying of Turnouts, etc.
• Performed as an:
o Administrative Head of the unit, efficiently dealt with various establishment matters including assistance for selection on promotion for key posts of Group IV staff, preparation of pay bill and welfare activities.
o In-charge of Major Ballast Depot at KAV with annual Intake and Training out Capacity of 250 Thousand cum including quality and quantity check i.e. taking up of supply, strict Quality control, testing, quantity check & subsequent loading and training out in Railway wagons to the entire S.E Railway Zone
o Established Ballast Testing Lab and performed quality tests for the acceptance of the Railway Ballast.
• In charge of special contractual works for open line track maintenance i.e. Through Deep Screening (Mechanized) by BCM, Through Track Renewal Mechanised by PQRS.
• Carried out engineering survey work for finalization of alignment of new line construction at KAV Station (Shunting Neck); KAV Yard remodeling planning including conversion of 1 in 16 T/O by 1 in 12 PSC Fan Shaped T/O and Layout Calculations, etc.
• Executed QA check of PSC Bridge Slab casting Yard and Load Testing of same for HM Loading Standards including design check calculations; Bridge Girder Renewal with PSC Slab for Railway Bridges with the help of 150 MT on track Crane during Traffic Block period
• Undertookthe construction of Steel Foot Over Bridge at KAV Station, NGP Division complete from footing to the erection part with the help of Railways 150 MT on track Crane under traffic block.
