Leading the environmental compliance team at Amaala, reporting to the Head of Environmental Compliance for Red Sea Global. Responsible for ensuring site environmental compliance across the Amaala site, a net zero carbon regenerative tourism development on the Red Sea coast. Ensuring environmental compliance is achieved through the leading the development and implementation of site environmental controls, management systems, plans, monitoring, reporting, inspections and auditing.
The site consists of multiple developments across different phases, all within a prestige and untouched natural environment containing coral reefs, sea grass, turtle nesting beaches, natural wadis, mangroves, and an unspoilt marine environment. As part of the Saudi Public Investment Fund and developer, Red Sea Global are focusing on regenerative tourism, with the first phase of development including a marina, yacht club, wellness centre, multiple luxury hotels, red sea marine life institute and aquarium, solar farm, and staff village.

- Attendance at integrated design team meetings together with MEP, civil engineering, and architects. Working with the MEP design consultants to ensure design meets GSAS/LEED required standards and that sustainability is embedded into the design.
- Liaising with relevant departments within SOQJV to ensure sustainability is part of the normal working practice and ensuring LEED/GSAS compliance achieved. This includes regular team meetings, workshops, and presentations with teams from Procurement (e.g responsible procurement, regional selection of materials, recycled content, etc) Construction, MEP, etc.
- Working with the Design Team to identify Innovation Credits as part of the LEED process.
- Weekly meetings and regular updates (e.g. reports, presentations, etc) with Qatar Rail.
- Development of sustainability and environmental KPIs for input into monthly report.
- Managing key environmental components for the delivery of the environmental management components of the contract - including procurement of the noise and dust monitoring equipment, waste management contract, procuring noise baseline study, etc.
