Designed system was a part of the copper production process system built within bigger project: Pyrometallurgy Modernization Program in KGHM Polish Copper (approximate overall budget ~650M $).
role: main process and rotating equipment application engineer
performed tasks:
- conception of technology system of power plant with steam generation for copper smelting processes, central heating of the plant and central preparation of potable hot water for copper smelter plant.
- calculation of mass and energy balances
- developing of PFD and P&ID
- sizing of rotating equipment: steam turbine, pumps,
- sizing of pipes, valves, hydraulic calculations
- sizing of heat exchangers
- preparation of technical specifications and inquiries for public tender procedure: turbine and main feed pumps (also turbine-driven pump)
- preparation of DCS control logics for I&C department
- taking part in the investor's tender committee for steam turbine, analysis of tenders
- preparation of inquiries for other equipment: pumps, heat exchangers, flash vessels, valves; analysis of tenders
- meetings with client and suppliers
- participation in HAZOP analysis as main process engineer
• “Design of replacement of fans in wet dedusting system in copper smelter plant” in KGHM Polish Copper smelter plant.

- meetings and technical arrangements for purposes of preparing technical documentation of reconstruction of foundation, piping and for blower installation.
