Attend kick-off meeting, progress meetings, discussing and obtaining Client’s approval for design and technical proposals.
Developing the design concept.
Review and approve technical and material submittals.
Revise the final construction drawings
Prepare the BOQs.
As a part of Nardine Gerges Design team;
* Determine the client’s goals and requirements of the project.
* Developing the design concept.
* Specify materials and furnishings (e.g: lighting, furniture, wall finishes and flooring).
* Sketch preliminary design plans, including electrical layouts.
* Prepare final construction drawings, using AutoCAD.

Project: Ministry of Interior new building, Police Academy, Cairo, Egypt.
Managing a number of sub-contractors to ensure they are following the project program & that all design deliverables are reviewed to establish they are buildable (e.g. Aluminum works, Metal Works, Wooden works, Floated Glass, Signage, etc…)
Reviewing technical specifications and proposals of the project Consultants / Subcontractor
& ensure to comply with supplier provided documents /materials/design criteria…..etc.
Reviewing & coordinating contract documents for ambiguities and raising RFI's as required.
Revising sub-contracts to ensure that it’s reflecting the project specs and it’s verifying the sub- contractor duties and rights.
Checking Engineer's comments on different submittals raising any anticipated.
Cost/time impact and forwarding them to commercial/planning department if needed.
Decide whether the contract between the client, contractor & sub-contractors has been satisfied.
Preparing shop drawings for different trades and checking the shop drawings program ensuring submittals are as the pre agreed dates.
Coordination with interfacing trades especially MEP & structural to ensure proper coordination.
Following up subcontractor technical related shop drawings especially when interfacing with other subcontractors/trades.
Ensuring the site team members are capturing the issued shop drawings and that the details are constructible.
Reporting to Technical Manager/Project Manager.
Project: CFC-Cairo Festival City Retail, Cairo, Egypt. ($430 Million).
OCI /AFC JV (Orascom Construction Industries/Al Futtaim Carillion JV)
Managing a number of sub-contractors to ensure they are following the project program & that all design deliverables are reviewed to establish they are buildable (e.g. BASCO, KANDIL, etc…)
Reviewing technical specifications and proposals of the project Consultants / Subcontractor
& ensure to comply with supplier provided documents /materials/design criteria…..etc.
Checking Engineer's comments on different submittals raising any anticipated.
Cost/time impact and forwarding them to commercial/planning department if needed.
Decide whether the contract between the client, contractor & sub-contractors has been satisfied.
Reporting to Technical Manager/Project Manager.
