Project/ Materials Tender agent supplying ETISALAT, DEWA and Other Utilities at the same time representing major Firms such as Nokia, Hughes, Alcatel, etc.
Role Profile
Responsible for tender documents processing with Principals to meet deadlines.
Responsible for communication with suppliers, clients & follow up.
Responsible for profiling & advising investors on ideal real estate during shows
Compilation of target database for niche marketing of select property.
Procurement activities on assigned Project included
Adherences to stated company policies/ procedures including quality and safety requirements
Close coordination with key functions - Engineering, Estimation, Project Controls, Construction, QA/QC for all aspects of optimal procurement - Planning, Strategy, Cost Accountability; Pre-award / Tendering / Post Award; Reporting / Manage Client Expectations
Responsible for pre-contract and post contract procurement plans
Negotiations with vendors for pricing, supply chain schedules based on agreed T&C.
Handling PO claims and back charges
Assisting Proposals and Estimation depts. with pricing information.
Responsible for Project assigned ASL’s & AML’s
Planning of Procurement activities with the Project Manager based on the construction schedule to determine onsite need date.
Identifying & qualifying suppliers based on the BOQ and client specified make/brands
Issuing RFQ’s based on BOQ’s & project requirements.
Issuing PO based on Client’s material requirements, engineering specifications and project schedule, after negotiation and cost savings based on budget estimates.
Have a proven track record of buying well within budgets securing between 12 to 40% cost savings on commodities like Vents, Foam glass blocks, Skimmers and other equipment.
Expediting activities
Establishing project expediting plans,
Coordinating with shared and 3rd party expediting resources
Assisting with cross regional procurement, expediting coordination where multiple in-house procurement offices & fabrication shops are designated.
Ensure proper Document control procedures in line with ISO 9001:2008 certifications. This aspect is followed and maintained for all purchasing related documents,
Review and approval of material test certificates, inspection reports and release for shipment notices.
Prepare Monthly Procurement Reports for projects.
Monitor Vendor performance & Provide Procurement Closeout reports on projects.
