Perform QA/QC functions at site from installation up to Testing & Commissioning stage.
Managed and supervised a team of EPC offshore personnel (Engineers, QA/QC, Supervisors, Foremen and Technicians) and guide them with technical expertise for implementation of in-house plant modifications according to approved drawings and industry standard construction techniques and methods.
Responsible for day to day construction & QA/QC activities of EPC contractors.
Supervised and monitoring of EPC contractors, sub-contractors QA/QC team activities relevant to the installation and pre-check testing of instrument and electrical (I&E) systems to ensure conformance with Project specifications, installation standards and client requirements.
Attending various request for inspections and tests according to the approved ITP, review the Contractors and sub-contractors completion files for accuracy and adequacy, verifying the inspection reports and validating the results to ensure that the work is carried out in accordance with project procedures and design and especially in respect to workmanship, quality, accuracy and safety.
Lead, supervised and ensure effective implementation of contractor’s deliverables such as inspection and test plans (ITP), quality control procedures (QCP) and work methods in line with project specifications, design criteria and installation standards.
Witness inspection of HV electrical installations such as power and control cables, MCC, Motor & LCS, 220/33/11KV transformers & switch gears, PDB & VSD, control panels as well as instrument installations like transmitters, control valves, RIO panels, impulse tubing and bench calibration.
Perform the inspection of electrical items such as power and control cables, cable trays, wiring, lighting, motors, relay / limit switches, switch gears, control panels, verify flame proof construction and certification of electrical items suitable for usage in hazardous area including review of ITP, receipt inspection, review of FAT reports and manufacturers QC documents, storage inspection, preservation controls, cables routing, support system, laying, glanding and termination inspection and witness of megger test, high voltage test, insulation and continuity test, provision of earthing and check for continuity and resistance, witness of no load and function test during installation, heat tracing check, punch listing, witness of testing & commissioning activity.
Perform quality control inspection, testing and proper documentation to ensure correct and proper installation of all the field Instruments, junction boxes, cable tray, marshalling cabinets, DCS, ESD, Fire & Gas, SCADA and PLC (Yokogawa, Honeywell and Siemens) Control Panels, lighting panel, and Fiber optic cables, Transformers, MCC, UPS and battery system. Switchgear panel installation and testing, and also performed inspection and witness of Instrument calibration of pressure, flow, level, temperature transmitters, (Yokogawa and Honeywell) Gas Detectors (General Monitor) Gauges and Control Valves (Masoneilan and Rotork) as per client’s IFC drawings, standards and specifications. Involves in all Instrument related materials Inspection as per the Clients approved Material submittals and specification, Also involved during Pre-commissioning and commissioning activities of all the instrumentation and Electrical works with the Vendor and Client representatives. Inspection for field and Control System Wiring termination, in accordance to Project approved Drawings.
•Oversee the construction/installation works for all LV/HV electrical system this includes preparation of PR’s and Material Approval Requests for permanent plant materials. Prepare progress daily and monthly reports.
•Prepare quality control procedures, inspection & test plans for all electrical and instrumentation installation works for client approval prior to start activity at site.
•Oversee the inspection and quality control activities on site, collecting the relevant objective proofs, ensuring coordination of quality control activities on electrical and instrumentation equipments/systems construction and installation activities.
•Perform receipt inspection and monitoring of interim material site storage areas for permanent plant materials and ensure that preservation program has been implemented.
•Prepare and submit Mechanical completion dossiers and ensures completeness of all attachments, reports, red marks / as-builts are incorporated prior to submittal to the client for review and approval.
• Carry-out site inspection and testing of electrical installations which include but not limited to; erection of steel & wooden poles, distribution lines routing, transformer erection, street lightings, earthing, anchors, guying and all accessories used in the service as per NEA drawings and specifications.
• Prepare all erection and testing reports for future reference and to keep track on the status of materials for future maintenance purposes.
