Working as counselor and advisor in a convent school of 2, 700 students. Met with individuals and coordinated
group activities. Consulted parents and advised students on postsecondary education possibilities.
Need experience helping students in preparing for higher studies/college applications.
* Developing and displaying health and safety tips as well as and articles aimed at increasing awareness
among students and staff on health-related issues.
* Facilitating clear communication between parents and the school regarding any special medical
attention children may need during school hours.
* Teaching students and school staff about specific topics, such as bullying, drug abuse, and planning
for college or careers after graduation
* Report and refer critical incidents that jeopardize student well-being as obligated by law, administrative
regulations, or ethical standards. Stay abreast of all regulations relating to incident reporting and
documentation
* Provides information to adolescents concerning health problems in order to encourage responsible
decision-making practices.
* Serves as a resource person to the classroom teacher and administrator in health instruction and as a
member of the health curriculum development committees
Health
Experience of working within a medical centre.
* Able to recognise mild childhood illness and give immunisations and vaccinations.
* Ensuring stock levels of all vaccinations & /clinical equipment are maintained.
* Keeping patients medical up to date.
* Maintaining and setting up a Treatment Room.
* Dealing with any disciplinary or grievances issues that may arise.
* Ability to show sensitivity towards others in the team and patients.
