Acts as liaison between patient and hospital personnel, interprets to the patients and his family their roles in promoting successful therapy and rehabilitation
Prepares patients for and assists physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
Carries out doctor’s legal orders
Assists physicians when examining patients
performs irrigations, catheterizations and enemas
Administers and chart medications and patient’s reactions to medications
Instructs patients and families
Maintains equipments and ensure proper care
Discharge patients
Performs post mortem care
Teaches and directs non-professional nursing personnel
Acts as head nurse when so delegated
Receives and endorses equipments and supplies
Interprets hospital policies and procedures, gives health teachings
Maintains good relationships with other hospital personnel
Charts accurately medications and treatments given
Attends meetings, trainings and conferences
