• In consultation with the Director & Quality, identify requirements (via audit or otherwise) and determine clinical governance standards and procedures for use within the Quality and Governance Department and within Bupa Healthcare, assisting in, or when required taking responsibility for, their implementation and audit
• Deputise for the Director on Quality matters relating to Clinical Governance including leadership of the Clinical Governance Committee, as required.
• Represent Home Healthcare within the Bupa UK Market Unit Clinical Governance structure
• Review all clinical incidents in the services to ensure that they are appropriately investigated and resolved, and that Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA’s) are put in place and implemented according to agreed timescales
• Support the Director in the investigation of any serious clinical incidents
• Ensure submissions to the CQC and Scottish Care Inspectorate are robust and completed in a timely manner with appropriate action taken to resolve highlighted deficiencies within an agreed timescale.
• Assist in the production and approval of professional Nurse services documentation under the company’s standard operating procedures, such documentation to include:
o Standard operating procedures
o Professional service documentation
o Other controlled documentation
• Assist with, or where required take responsibility for, controlled documentation registration and subsequent audit
• Design and manage an audit programme for clinical practice and clinical training.
• Assist in, or where required take responsibility for, audit and review process of professional service programmes and other medical compliance systems, within Bupa Home Healthcare, to ensure best practice and clear project guidelines
• Under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy & Quality undertake specific projects within an agreed remit and time frame including the scoping, compilation, implementation and audit of professional service documentation
Pro Diem consulting and the project management of major events. Quality control, risk management and clinical governance for the medical facilities, services. commissioning of services, emergency response and emergency care for large events for the city of Cardiff. Involving the Ambulance response, medical project planning, staff evaluation and training to ensure that the service delivery area is adequately resourced with correct skill mix and coverage to ensure safe and acceptable medical coverage and response times.

Autonomously managing key projects from inception to completion, across 3 large healthcare centres. These key projects were:
Phase 1
Project managing the complete renovation and commissioning of 3 large centres, from inception to completion.
Phase 2
Project managing the Instillation of Electronic Medical Record system (Cerner) and PACS .(See attached )
Phase 3
•Project managed the centres to a world first in International Accreditation for an Ambulatory healthcare Care group.

• Working collaboratively as part of the senior management team to disseminate relevant information throughout the team
• Managing numerous key projects from inception to completion, across 3 large health centres, budget and finance management, HR issues for all grades of staff, support services introducing patient centred care trials resulting in improved service and efficiency
• Instrumentally accountable for steering the successful implementing the Cerner electronic medical record system across three polyclinics; assisting with PAX integration
• Devising and presenting the strategic and operation plans for all areas in the centre, taking responsibility for finance operations including adjusting plans to improve budgets and levels of service, writing budget presentations to present to senior management, including a research project aimed at cutting costs
• Playing a pivotal role producing policies, procedures and processes for the Disease Prevention & Screening Centre, acting as a key interface for the organisation as a member of the DPSC Management and Planning Team, developing and chairing active committees in the centre
• Deploying key skills and resources to maintain and surpass HAAD and JCIA standards, working closely with the Quality Department to execute JCIA gap analysis
• Effectively managing change and increasing productivity, which intern substantially increased revenue? Continuously enforcing and adhering to high levels of customer service, evaluating feedback and processes to ensure all clients and staff are treated fairly; achieving customer satisfaction of 92%
• Orchestrating and facilitating the training and coaching of personnel, initiating and providing training for an online appointment system
• Conducting and monitoring clinical best practice, safety and environmental audits through the centres
Key Achievements:
• Receiving promotion form managing 1 health centre to 3, and 8 centres for a short period of time
• Working in partnership with the senior management team to complete the renovation of 3 large polyclinics and the partial renovation of another.
• Successful Implementation of EMR (Cerner) into 3 centres .
• JCIA accreditation
• Increased revenue across all centres.
