I was employed as a House and Estate manager to set up a new family home in this newly renovated 1830 gothic castle set on large unconstructed grounds and 300 associated acres. My initial requirement was to complete handover from construction to property owner and set up a complete house and property management system. I recruited six housekeeping staff and three grounds crew. I set up all employee work contracts, salary pay scales, payroll system and work schedules. I was asked to train all staff in general work requirements and house hold etiquette. I was responsible to purchase Estate private vehicles, Work vehicles, equipment and machinery. I implemented all new maintenance contracts and general services and set up house and estate budgets. As the family were not resident, I was their principal contact and Estate representative. I provided all correspondence and attended Construction, landscaping design, and Architect meetings and provided daily progress reports. The property had 2 guest properties which family and friends regularly attended, during this time I was Butler, Chauffeur, and Pa for all family requirements for the duration of their visit. The property contained tennis courts and as located by a river I also had several small and large boats to manage, this included pre arrival preparation, dry docking and mooring locations.
