Managed and automated the Resource Department on a 14, 000-person installation responsible for materials, and resources. Improved the effective resource utilisation rate from 46% to 97.6% in less than 12 months, saving over £101 million in cost with no change in personnel. Completed 23-year career with the British Army. Gained upper-level manager status. Participated in the complete revitalisation and overhaul of the British Military in general - and the British Army specifically - from the low status perceived in the 1970's to the most powerful and effective military in history.

An active participant in the swift/forceful turnaround of the armed forces that led to the U.K. victory in Operation Granby and Operation Telic ( Iraq) . A successful record for managing complex situations, supervising people through line-management personnel, responsible for millions of pounds in assets. Specific duties and achievements include;

MANAGEMENT: Led a Troop of the Army's Challenger 2 main battle tank consisting of 4 tanks, 4 APCs, an Engineer Squad and Maintenance Platoon. Participated in developing and testing, 14 high-tech, multimillion pound products including Challenger 2 during the reliability growth trials that in less than 5 years went from conception to production. These systems were highly instrumental in the success of the Operation Granby and Operation Telic. Upgraded training curriculum and methods, cross-trained personnel in job duties resulting in lower supervision requirements and a significant cost savings in overtime.

Was a logistical advisor to the Commander for 750 men, responsible for £25 million of equipment. Managed a £719, 000 budget. Responsible for controlling the procurement of durable and expendable items under the budget. A recognised expert in planning and executing complex operations with 100% accuracy and success including the scheduling and movement of thousands of personnel and the timely transfer of millions of pounds worth of equipment to support and maintain operations.
