Main Responsibilities
Conducts Pre-Award Financial Reviews; interviews potential grantees and prepares findings, recommendations and action plan for purposes of assessing grantees potential to meet agreement terms & strengthening NGO staff skills in financial management, reporting and administration.
Provides technical assistance and training to NGOs in budget preparation, reporting, compliance and other matters related to proper financial management and administration.
Performs site visits to grantees on a quarterly, or if necessary, more frequent basis
Ensure that external audits of grantees meet Save the Children standards.
Prepare and finalize sub-grants compliance check with HO, before issuing the sub-grants agreement.
Monitors matching requirements and knows rules to enable creative matches to be identified.
Develop and manage a grant logging and tracking system which reports monthly and quarterly to Programs Managers on the status of all advances requests under review and records the sub-grantee award amounts and disbursements and update the sub-grants database.
Responsible to close out sub-grant files when the funded project is completed and all narrative and financial reporting requirements have been met, and prepare the sub-grant files for in-house storage when closed which provided by SC through the sub-grants agreement.
Prepare the contracts agreements for the Sub-grants according to SC’s and the donor policies and procedures.
Prepare the “Award Authorization Database” for new grants from the donor.

Prepare quarterly tracking sheet expenses with respect to the budget for the program team on each line item.
