Responds to any medical and trauma emergencies in Qatar

1.Obtains data/information about the condition of patient such as vital signs, weight, history and physical examination. 2. Prepares patient for admission, secures consent for hospitalization and management. 3. Assist physician when examining patients and during emergency treatment and procedures. 4. Carries out doctor's legal orders. 5. Performs proper intravenous insertion, administers prescribe medication and procedures such as blood transfusion, wound dressing, applying bandage, insertion of catheterization (indwelling foley/straight cath), insertion of NGT (Naso Gastric Tube), gives enemas and other special procedures using aseptic and sterile techniques. 6. Gives direct nursing care and identifies nursing needs of patients. 7. Promotes safety, mobility and hygiene, and gives comfort to the patient. 8. Collaborated with other health care professional to enhance and facilitate the flow of nursing care. 9. Monitor vital signs, fluid intake and output accurately 10. Administer prescribe medication and monitor patients' reaction to medication. 11. Observes for signs and symptoms, institutes remedial action when appropriate records in the chart. 12. Check intravenous fluids, urinary catheter, oxygen inhalation, dressing, NGT and other procedures for patency. 13. Document all procedures, patency and characteristics before and after the performance of the procedure. 14. Collects specimen such as urine, stool sputum, and bring the specimen to the laboratory for diagnostic procedures. 15. Assist patient who undergo examination procedures such as x-ray, Ultrasound, CT-Scan, ECG and other various examinations. 16. Executes CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) in case of cardiac arrest. 17. Facilitates discharges of patient and gives health care instructions and simple nursing procedures
