Review and approval of shop drawings, material technical submittals, Method Statements, Quality Plan, ITP, quality procedures
Reply to all technical queries and ensure that all aspects are considered, specification and contractual requirement
Attend construction progress meetings and technical meetings
Inspection of contractor’s completed works and ensure that all works are within the confine of all approved drawings, methodology, contractual requirements, codes and specifications

Preparation of daily and weekly progress reports
Inspect and document all incoming materials such as busducts, switchgears, panelboards, transfer switches, wireways, cable trays etc. Prepare non-conformance report and quarantined all rejected materials
Inspect electrical installations (power, lighting, equipments, and auxiliaries) at site and see to it that all layouts/installations are in complete conformance with drawings, codes, specifications and standards. Discuss with Project-in-charge and Project Manager conflicts and non-conformance seen during inspection and help in resolving the issue
Supervise electrical testing and pre-commissioning works and perform surveillance inspection for rough-in layouts for FDAS, BMS, CCTV and Public Address System
Attend and chair Quality Control coordination meetings organized by the General Contractor to discuss issues on quality affecting the Project such as workmanship, materials, schedules, testing procedures and in most cases conflicts with other trades.
Direct, coordinate and inspect construction, installation, support, documentation and testing and pre-commissioning activities to ensure compliance with Contract documents, approved submittals, specifications, standards, codes, operational and safety standards and client requirements.
Monitors contractor Quality Control Program.
witness and inspect Contractor’s completed installations (duct banks, cable trays and trunking, area flood lightings and feeder pillars, conduit installations, lightings and wiring devices, auxiliary systems, panel boards, distribution boards, switchgears, transformers, MCC and other electrical equipments). Issue negative Quality Action Notice to non-conformance and positive QAN for installations in conformity to standards and specifications.

Maintains project safety awareness and enforce company safety policy by conducting daily surveillances at site, Safety Tours, Safety Task Assessment Risk Reduction Talk (STARRT) to be able to evaluate Contractor’s compliance and awareness to safe work practices

Participate and chair Quality Action Notice (QAN) weekly meeting
Participate and lead Electrical Quality Tours to assess the quality of Contractor’s work and compliance to specifications and standards,
Witnessed installation inspection, testing and commissioning of electrical equipments and devices for Baggage Handling System (motors, x-rays, UPS, panel boards and distribution boards, tag readers, RFIDs, conveyors etc
Engineer in-charge for Quality Control of Baggage Handling Systems’ electrical equipments installation, testing and commissioning
Quality Control System implementation and execution as per contract documents, specifications, approved submittals, client standards (Saudi ARAMCO & Royal Commission) and other governing industry codes
Conduct Factory Acceptance Test and Final Inspection of Electrical Equipments, eventually preparation of Final Acceptance test report for submission to QA/QC Manager
Review drawings, material requisitions, and technical submittals for construction and procurement to verify compliance to engineering standards and practices, project specifications and quality standards
Closely monitor contractors daily activities, manpower schedule and distribution, materials compliance to specifications and standards, ensure adherence to Quality standards in the installation and execution of works both electrical & instrumentation
Monitor and coordination on the installations & testing and pre-commissioning of electrical equipments such as medium voltage switchgears, transformers, VFD’s, MCC, motors & pumps (load and no load tests), instruments etc.
Preparation of walk through packages, testing and pre-commissioning report packages, equipments Operation and Maintenance manuals(O&M Manuals)
prepare electrical and instrument loop packages/folders, Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and Work Method Statement (WMS)
Ability to read and execute installations of instruments reflected on the Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), conduct Instrument Loop Diagrams (ILD) point to point check and simulation
Liaise with Contractor’s Electrical and materials inspectors with regards to the timely processing of request for inspection (RFI) to ensure there are no undue delays
ensure good workmanship, material and equipments are in accordance with the approved drawings, specifications, engineering codes and standards, test requirements and all related industry code and standards
responsible for the site QA/QC works and coordination for inspection and testing, ensure Request for Inspection (RFI) are raised and Inspection &Test Plan (ITP) are observed, maintained quality log record of non-compliance report, inspection checklists, incoming material inspection and rejection, equipment calibration
implement quality system and procedural requirements on the erection, testing and pre-commissioning of transformers, switchgears, MCC, generator, pumps, ATS, UPS etc
keep close tracks of original scope of works, detail designs and change order
preparation of technical submittal and material take-off for the project and act as a technical support to procurement department
attend pre-fabrication inspection meeting organized and presided by the manufacturer/vendor to discuss subjects and details to be included on ITP
conduct final inspection prior to site delivery of electrical materials such as transformers, diesel generators, panel boards, control gears, switch racks etc and preparation of Final Inspection Report to be submitted to QA/QC Manager
prepare non-conformance report, identify root causes and initiate corrective action
conduct surveillance and inspection to effectively implement quality control on all works inside classified Gas plant area starting from conduit system until termination on instruments and junction boxes, cable tray installation as per NEMA VE 1 & 2 standards
attend to all testing and pre-commissioning of equipments and installations, tests to include hi-pot test, insulation resistance testing, trip rating and contact resistance test of breakers etc
