• Designs projects and review architectural or engineering plans, specifications and contract documents to ensure compliance with government codes, laws and regulations.
• Advises Subcontractors on the interpretation of plans, recommends changes when necessary.
• Prepares and review preliminary designs, working drawings, specifications and cost estimates related to the project.
• Provides technical expertise in development or review of policies and procedures in relation to architectural structures and systems and construction/safety codes.
• Researches literature and maintain knowledge of current building materials, structural, mechanical and electrical system codes and methods of application.
• Reviews Subcontractor's shop drawings to ensure compliance with specifications and contract agreements by checking them for technical accuracy according to accepted guidelines.
• Reviews product literature, analyzes materials and determines appropriateness for application to projects.
• Provides advice and develop design documents to initiate and modify architectural, interior design and space planning solutions.
• Performs design drafting including preliminary drawings, working drawings and full detail drawings for architectural, structural and mechanical works associated with building construction or improvement projects.
• Provides finish selections including color palettes, carpet and wall finishes, lighting and other various interior selections
DAWHA GATE Project
The Project is being constructed on Old Saida Road. The Lot location is very important and unique where it creates a triangular focal point for three Areas' Entrances from Khaldeh- Beirut Airport Highway to Shouaifat City, Aramoun Dawha Area as well as Bchamoun Area.
Old Saida Road at the project location is already very active commercial road and was transformed year after year to be a central commercial point where there exist most types of shops, banks, restaurants, etc… that serve all the area customers' needs in addition to the pass-by visitors.
Many projects are still being developed to fulfill the wide demands for new investors either through rent or sale of small shops and large shopping malls.
-Working as Architectural Project Manager, who oversees all aspects of the design and construction process of a building project, from developing and reviewing building plans to making sure a project meets environmental and zoning standards.
-Split time between the office and field, discussing with clients and ensuring the completion of projects.
-Developing, organizing and reviewing building plans, as well as preparing construction contracts for general contractors.
-Ensure that construction projects meet environmental, safety, structural, zoning and aesthetic standards.
National Guard Health Affairs (NGHA)
Construction of 5 specialized hospitals for NGHA at several sites around the Kingdom:
-Maternity Hospital KAMC-CR, Riyadh (300 beds)
-King Abdullah Specialized Children’s Hospital, KAMC-WR, Jeddah (350 beds)
-Neuroscience and Trauma Care Center, Jeddah (176 beds)
-Taif Specialized Hospital, Taif (300 beds)
-Al Qassim Specialized Hospital, Al Qassim (300 beds)
-Support and Housing facilities for the said hospitals.
*Working as Design Coordinator for NGSH Project, liaison between PMO Riyadh & Beirut Design Office while reviewing Shop Drawings & Technical submittals.
*Leading a team of architects for submitting Millwork & Casework shop drawings and construction/fabrication details as well as materials specifications and international standards.
* Engages the team through project management which helps with workload, remove roadblocks, assist with rate of deliverables, foster communication and add accuracy to reporting
*Reviews shop drawings for content within time frames negotiated with the project manager (PM) to determine conformity with general concept/intent of the construction documents and indicates such conformance with the general concept or lack thereof.
*Signs and submits all proposed shop drawings for the project to the PM and ensures that subcontractors or suppliers do not submit shop drawings directly to the consultant or RPB.
*Sends out email communications or any kind of communication thinking through the details of that communication, and who it needs to go to, and the message needed to be delivered.
*Coordinating the FF&E loose furniture as well as relevant finishing materials and technical data sheets.
A multi-billion hospitality and commercial Design & Build project
consisting of 18 international Hotel Brands with related commercial malls, shops
residential Villas, etc...
- Working as Lead Design Architect Coordinator - Zone N2 Marriott Hotel.
- Involved in the planning, design, and construction of buildings.
- Coordination between In-house design& construction team and the
main ID(Forrest Perkins-USA), Main Client Consultants (K&A,
HILL International, 3rd Parties, etc..).
- Conducting periodic on-site observation of work during construction to
monitor compliance with design-All Interior Architectural Finishes Works.
- Carry out layouts, construction drawings, preliminary sketches, & 3d designs.
- Preparing material submittals, design drawings and presentation to ID/Client.
- Liaising with Sub-contractors to ensure compliance with order documentation.
