- Working in School of Sciences and Engineering as a lab Geologist and responsible for the following :
1) core lab
2) drilling simulator lab
3) PVT lab
4) Mud Lab
5) Simulation lab
6) Geology Lab
- Working in well site units, collecting, processing, Describe, analyzing geological samples.
- Maintain the MASTER LOG.
- Monitoring computer recordings of Drilling Parameter.
- Lending onsite technical support in case of equipment failure
Interpreting information and feeding this back to the drilling team to enhance safety and success.
- Maintain LOSS_ GAIN sheet.
- Monitor Gas system (Gas Chromatograph).
- Operating and maintaining a real-time computer-based data acquisition system, the advanced logging system (ALS), which records all aspects of rig activity.
- Taking on the primary health and safety role for the well through constant monitoring of all critical drilling parameters.
- Predicting dangerous situations, such as over-pressured formation (kick), H2S Detection, and hole stability.
- Assisting the well site geologist during coring operations.
- Reporting back to the well site geologist and to the oil company in written reports.
- To attend daily meetings and providing the client with daily logs on drilling operations.
Techniques of Catching Core from Field (waxing, Gypsum and Resination).
- Porosity & permeability measurements.
- Gamma ray inspection.
- Core Description.
- Plugging, Cleaning, slabbing, marking, and packing of Core.
- Measuring electrical properties of the rock (Formation Factor, Conductivity and Resistivity Index)
- Capillary pressure by different methods (Porous Pate, Centrifuge and Mercury Injection).
- Wettability, Relative permeability, Rock compressibility, Frac test, Solubility, Viscosity of different liquids and Density.
- NMR porosity.
- Whole Core and Side wall core measurements.
- Core Photography.
I have an M.Sc. Certificate from Suez canal university in petroleum geology. My master thesis topic was a petrophysical analysis of the lower Bahariya Formation, Western Desert, Egypt.
