This department acts as a PMO but for the transmission General department for canal cities & sinai & red sea region
leading the Fiber Optics Division for the Canal Cities & Sinai region for executing Projects & maintenance activities
-Working in Telecom Egypt as SDH & DWDM fiber optic network engineer since MAR. 2004 until 2009 in canal cities & Sinai & red sea sector (more than 175 SDH & DWDM stations).-Working in Telecom Egypt as Fiber optic division manager 2009 to 2010.-Working in Telecom Egypt as Operations & Technical support Department Manager (2010 - now).-Familiar with Siemens SDH family (SMA1/4, SMA16, SMA1K, SMA64, Hit 7070) provisioning & commissioning.-Familiar with all optical fiber cables (Siemens, Taihan, Elswedy, Alcatel, and AT&T) with various bands (8 O.F, 12 O.F, 16 O.F, 20 O.F, 24 O.F, 28 O.F, 36 O.F, and 144 O.F).My responsibilities:
-Managing & monitoring the SDH network canal cities & Sinai & red sea sector through TNMS (Telecommunication Network Management System) server located in Ismailia. -Maintenance of the SDH network stations.
-Detection of the optical fiber cables faults and clearing them.-Maintenance of the optical fiber cables.-Executing all cross connection & systems connecting operations.-Managing the Microwave links connected with SDH network (background in dealing with Ericsson MiniLink microwave equipments).
Project Management Achievements:
-Attending the installation & powering up 100 exchanges with Siemens engineers.--Participating in planning of upgrading the Suez tourist ring from STM-1 level into STM-4 level.-Responsible for establishing the technical support & decision making center in the sector.
-Participating in clearing optical fiber faults caused by the flood crisis in Sinai.
-Executing the marine cable under the Suez Canal between Kantara west & Kantara east.-Participating in the Planning for executing a new fiber optic cable over Mubarak Elsalam Bridge (over Suez Canal).
-Participating in the Planning for executing a new 144 fiber optic cable between Ismailia & 10 of Ramadan.-Participating in the execution of the in land IME-WE international cable.-Attending the clearing of more than 200 optical fiber faults in field.
