Participate in scheduled inspections covering electrical, instrumentation and control
systems for the 35MW Menengai Geothermal Power Plant.
Perform calibration of instrumentation devices including pressure, temperature,
vibration, flow, level, and gas monitoring sensors and calibrators to ensure accuracy
and reliability.
Conduct loop tests of instruments from field devices to the Distributed Control
System (DCS), verifying proper signal transmission, integration, and system
functionality for calibrated instruments.
Read, interpret and modify electrical, instrumentation, control and electronic
diagrams and schematics and update the changes in BIM 360.
Review various method statements and inspection test plans for electrical, control
and instrumentation works on site.
Participate in supervision and inspection of various electrical installations and
testing for GSUT, Station Service and Auxiliary transformers, lighting installation
and testing, Earth grid connection and earth rod installation and testing, building of
1 1/132kv susbstation, 132KV high voltage cable pulling, termination and testing,
medium voltage, low voltage, instrumentation and control cable pulling, termination
and testing.
Supervise and inspect installation and testing of the MV, LV, Protection and
Metering and MCC panels
Oversees and participates in electrical testing and commissioning activities.
Ensures that testing procedures are aligned with project requirements and
industry standards.
Verifies and validates the performance of electrical systems.
Provides training and guidance to project teams on quality processes and
procedures.
Provide regular progress updates to the Site Engineer.
Conduct both planned and ad-hoc audits, inspections, spot checks, and surveys on
all technical sections, either independently or under the guidance of the
Management.
Prepare formal written reports of audit findings, highlighting discrepancies and
recommending corrective actions with defined timelines.
Follow up on audit closure actions, verify implementation, and monitor
effectiveness through direct surveillance and feedback.
Log reported occurrences in the QA database, classify and review them.
Review engineer authorization applications and participate in approval exams.
Maintain and update records of certifying staff, ensuring accuracy and
completeness of documentation.
Compile and present QA statistics as required.
