Provides nursing care within the Pediatrics department and handles vaccinations for adult patients. Assesses, stabilizes and performing triage to patients with experience and accuracy. Responsible for taking vital signs and referring to the attending physician and co - nurses any abnormalities to patient’s status; carries out doctor’s orders and procedures.
Delivers nursing care to patients, obtains baseline datum, (vital signs, history and physical examination, calculation of age of gestation) and maintains medical records of patients. Performs assessment before operation, prepares necessary equipment and supplies before the operation, assist the doctor during operation, performs newborn care and postnatal and/or post operational care of the patient
Holy Trinity Plazang Luma Hospital (now Holy Trinity General Hospital) is a secondary level hospital. Working as a medical - surgical nurse, I was harnessed at the different aspects of nursing. I was tasked to obtain necessary datum of out/in patients, weighs patients, take vital signs and report to the physician if required, prepares and drapes patient in the examination room, give medications and injections as prescribed by the primary care provider, perform nursing procedures as required and ordered, assist the physician with procedures and perform nursing related task, ensures complete and proper documentation of all patient care and instruction in patient medical records.
