As IT Help Desk Support Officer, I responsibil to look after the following for the whole group:
Managing and supporting a huge computer network of more than 500 computers of different types like HP and HP Compaq Windows Platform desktop, laptop and servers. The network consists of Cisco, 3Com switches, routers and sonicwall firewall security.
Formatting, Installation, configuring of all kinds of Windows OS, maintain the integrity of the desktop computers as well as a safe computing environment via security patches, system protection updates, application upgrades support and new technologies.
Configuration and installation of TCP/IP, Internet and E-mail accounts (Mail for Exchange) for users.
Troubleshooting and dealing with the daily user’s hardware and software issues and problems.
Configuring and managing the Inter-Connectivity of Microsoft Windows (All Versions) OS.
Building and deploying standard notebooks and desktop computers.
Troubleshooting and managing different types of HP, Develop, Samsung and Epson printers, plotters and scanners.
Supporting Audio-Visual equipment’s (Projectors, Videoconference Units).
Using and managing Active Directory to create and manage user accounts and set permissions.
Providing software support in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) as well as Mail for Exchange in Outlook and web access (OWA).
Strong Knowledge of active Directory administration in Enterprise environment. Troubleshooting Windows Workgroup & Domain Environment.
Experience of Mail configuration on Mobile devices including I-phone, Blackberry and Windows Mobile Devices.
Providing onsite support to users through telephone, remote access over the internet and site based desktop support and technical advice to both internal and external users.
Monitoring and maintaining storage, backups and periodically test restoring backup data.
Maintaining and updating computer images.
Acquiring additional responsibilities as skills and familiarity with systems increase.
