As a project manager, handled the following projects for FFIC account

EPIC Non-Admitted Work Request
Object of the project was to enhance the EPIC application to support Non-Admitted Excess Specialty Business. The EPIC application needed to seamlessly integrate the new Non-Admitted business without impacting the existing Admitted business functions.
The challenges of the project were
⁃ Fixed end date and tight schedule. Testing full functionality was not possible.
⁃ Ensuring high product quality, under frequent requirement & scope changes (11 PCRs)
⁃ Non-availability of test data and test region for testing.

Received customer appreciation for successfully managing the work request with-in budget and on time despite the challenges.

MI Automation of Monthly Runs
Most of the MI mainframe applications which generate monthly/weekly reports are not in Endevor and had not been scheduled to run on a particular day. Jobs were run manually which involved a lot of effort and cost. In order to utilize optimal effort and cost towards these routine jobs, this WR has been approved for auto scheduling these jobs and moving them to Endevor which ensures configuration management and the creation of separate production environment.
Successfully managed the automation project which reduced effort and cost involved with manual runs by 150 hours / month.

Enterprise Policy Administration System \[EPAS\]
Enterprise Policy Administration System (EPAS) is one of the major "Change the Company" initiatives at FFIC. IBM owns the EPAS Integration portion that integrates the EPAS frontend with the Legacy applications. EPAS Integration portion is developed using Websphere Message Broker 6.0/6.1 on AIX platform.

EPAS stands for "Enterprise Policy Administration System". EPAS is a strategic initiative at Fireman's Fund to automate policy processing in the Auto and Property Insurance lines of business. EPAS projects are essential for the strategic success of the company.

The key objectives of EPAS are the following:
⁃ Create operational and underwriting efficiencies through automating back office and underwriting support functions
⁃ Increase new business growth through ease of doing business with straight through processing in a single integrated policy system
⁃ Reduce IT maintenance costs by retiring and replacing more than thirty legacy systems.

Accomplishments as Onsite Manager for EPAS: • Successfully managed the knowledge transition between one IBM team to another.

• Instrumental in successfully delivery of several releases \[worth 2+ million dollars\] within EPAS.
