Unipharm is a Lebanese company that operates in the import and distribution of pharmaceuticals, para-pharmaceuticals and veterinary products in the local Lebanese market.
Unipharm operates using ISO and GDP procedures.
My tasks included managing the daily operations of Unipharm including warehouse activities, operation room, and dispatching.
- Establish and maintain designated work areas and arrange as needed; ensure orderly and safe conditions at all times.
- Ensure proper working condition of work areas, grounds, trucks, tools, fixtures and equipment; arrange for repairs/replacements when needed, and ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the warehouses.
- Manage, plan and develop the warehouse storage system.
- Responsible of all warehouse employees. This will include recruiting, managing motivating and training candidates.
- Supervise the receiving process (including cold chain and cytotoxic).
- Supervise the pricing and the Hologram tagging on all the company’s products.
- Supervise orders preparation and checking the invoices vs prepared orders.
- Monitor the packaging before sending the orders to the final destination.
- Manage delivery and truck routing effectively to deliver all orders on time and with minimum expenses (fuel).
- Monitor the room and cold rooms’ temperatures and ensure that all the products are in the suitable storage conditions as per GDP guidelines.
- Cycle counts and yearly inventory.
- Preparing Samples and MOH orders.
- Recommend improved methods, records, etc. to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Arrange for regular removal and recycling of appropriate production boxes, plastics, paper, etc.
- Perform several reports related to warehouse work flow, sales, and KPI report.
- Observe the logistics department, procedures, main warehouses, stock areas, team, vehicles and tools.
- Put a gap analysis report related to the operation team, warehouse and dispatching team and their relation with the sales department.
- Set a major plan for the operation based on the logistics needs and start the implementation of the new improved rules and regulations.
- Train the employees on the new processes and set a control and audit system.
- Full management of Trend operations related to warehousing, dispatching, showrooms makeovers, etc.
- Supervise and control the distribution activities in all warehouses and branches.
- Control proper receiving / issuing in order to avoid variances in stock.
- Manage storage of goods effectively to benefit at the maximum from the warehouse capacity.
- Insure inventories count is done as required by the finance department for better control.
- Manages staff schedules and vacations to keep the warehouse and delivery running smoothly.
- Follow up on all documents related to the orders received and delivered and make sure that they have been all authorized and signed by responsible persons.
- Follow up with the marketing department regarding any promotions or special offers.
- Ensure the cleanness of the warehouses and make sure that they are all equipped with safety measures.
- Supervise the order receiving process and ensure that all additional help to facilitate the receiving is being provided (additional workers, forklifts, etc.)
- Review the receiving report and reconcile it with the original order placed and accordingly follow up for any damage or discrepancy and coordinate with the finance department to request credit notes from suppliers or for the filing of insurance claims.
- Supervise the packing of the goods and follow up the trucks loading to ensure the goods are being delivered with no damages.
