Manage the Logistics & Trade Compliance function relating to Mcdermott projects and marine operations requirements in Saudi Arabia. Regular travel (normally day trips) will be required to Ras Tanura Port, Tanajib and Khafji and occasionally to the UAE/KSA road border crossing, in compliance will all Mcdermott company policy and procedure and the relevant KSA Government Authorities.
Ensure that all logistics & transportation transactions are handled safely and in compliance with all applicable regulations
providing compliant, dependable, on-time and under budget transportation, logistics supply chain services associated with demanding time line schedules for construction project, subsea installation staged in Saudi Arabia
Service the logistics demand associated with marine vessel operations dependent on the location of vessels and the variable logistics tasks associated with Saudi Aramco projects. Assist Mcdermott’s Ships Agent relative to vessel clearances into/out of Ras Tanura, Dammam and Khafji sea ports.
Establishing the scope of work, procedures and service requirements of the project and delivering these services on schedule is an essential function of this position.
Continually audit the export, import and domestic transportation and logistics processes and documentation in support of the Project Management Teams, Fabrication, Marine, Diving and Welding operations relating to all Saudi projects.
Mapping & Developing KSA Project specific Logistics & Trade Compliance process and procedures
GRO Trade Compliance relationships with KSA Government Agencies (Import, Export, Vessel, Project Duty Exemptions etc)
Ensure that all Saudi project Export and Import Compliance functions relative to transportation and logistics operate in compliance with all KSA Government, US Federal Government and other Governments of the world export and import control regulations.
Supervise Export and Import Recordkeeping and maintenance of the files to ensure compliance with KSA Government and other Governments of the world and Mcdermott GL2 Corporate guidelines and procedures.
Provide Logistics & Trade Compliance customer service and problem solving services to the Project Teams, Procurement, Fabrication, Marine, Welding and Office Services operations and evaluate the level of compliance to all Export and Import transactions.
Responsible for managing the execution, direction and coordination of all transportation matters, including managing budgets, organization of schedules and routes.
Organize the safe and efficient storage and distribution of goods and to ensure that orders are satisfied correctly.
Responsible for applying to concerned Ministry regarding DGR and CITC approvals.
Handle service providers RFQ’s and comprising of the logistics suppliers and negotiation the rates.
Handling the Department logistics suppliers and negotiating the rates with warehouse facilities services providers.
Leading a team of professional logisticians.
Create Policies or procedures for Logistics activities.
Cooperate with the Project Managers and Maintenance Manager.
Establishing and maintaining the necessary operational systems and procedures and maintaining limitations and controls, ensuring the most effective and profitable utilization of the facilities, equipment and manpower.
Maintain clear and adequate liaison and communications within and outside the company, and between the two organizations.
Responsible for handling material and warehousing.
Responsible for coordination with Saudi Rail Way, Seaport and Airport.
Well aware & apply Inco terms to import & Export contracts
Responsible for Marine Cargo Insurance
Handling, facilitating, following-up and provide all the requirements and needs of the office.
Following-up on all documents related to new employees and issues facing current employees.
Organizing meetings and celebrations of on internal and external project staff.
Covering the CFO’s Assistant position temporarily, by handling all of his requirements.

Plan, schedule, oversee and regulate the day-to-day bulk transportation operations at our customer’s facility.
Responsible for handling Sea, Air and Land Freight shipments clearance, logistics and transport requirements.
Establishing and maintaining the necessary operational systems and procedures and maintaining limitations and controls, ensuring the most effective and profitable utilization of the facilities, equipment and manpower.
