Role: Team Lead, Technical Consultant - Storage
Responsibilities
o Technical lead for Storage, Backup and MS environment.
o Storage Administration / Management for EMC & IBM (V9000, SVC, Flash Systems).
o SAN & Storage Migration, Storage Virtualization.
o Identify & Resolve Performance issues for Storage & SAN environment.
o Own and update all related architectures (SAN, Storage, fabric, operational) and documentation.
o DR Planning, Automation & Periodic Testing for all Business Critical Applications.
o Provide recommendations for IT solutions to the most complex business problems.
o Mentors team members engaged in supporting Production Services support requirements and expert analysis of IT-related change requests.
o Infrastructure Cost Control - Environment Consolidation & virtualization.

o Ensure compliance with Change & Incident Management processes.

o Vendor Coordination / Consultation / Negotiation - Ensure better delivery of services, evaluate new Solutions, Ensure agreements and contracts are cost effective and relevant.
o Advice / Assist and ensure that the scope of projects are clearly defined within IT Operations. Ensure alignment with Business partners and services are delivered timeously and cost effectively.
o Technical Presentations for Infrastructure initiatives, Cost Justification, RFP documentations, Technical evaluations, Conducting PoC, Documenting Approvals.

Responsibilities
• Team lead for UNIX, Database and MS environment & support the Storage & SAN Environment.
• Conduct Daily and weekly meetings with the Client & provide updates on the ongoing Tasks and new requests.
• Report Weekly & Monthly status to the Client presentations for the Infrastructure Team.
• Storage Migrations from EMC DMX-3 to DMX-4, VMAX.
• SAN Planning & End to end Storage Management.
• Mentor the Team and provide feasible solutions for regular upgrades and other activities.
• To monitor availability and performance of Storage Services to ensure that agreed SLAs.
• Proactive improvement initiatives in SAN Storage & UNIX - FOS upgrades, microcode upgrades, new H/W installations.

Job Profile: Team Lead/SAN Administrator
Responsibilities:
• Team Lead for the Storage & UNIX - Solaris Team.
• Capacity Planning & End to end Storage provisioning for Etisalat DB Telecom, India.
• To monitor availability and performance of Storage Services to ensure that agreed SLAs are met as per the defined processes.
• Proactive improvement initiatives towards improvement of efficiency in SAN Storage operations such as FOS upgrades, microcode upgrades, new H/W installations.
• Periodic review of all Storage/SAN issues and Maintaining proper Documentation/Reports for all aspects of the Project.
• Co-ordinate and follow up with Client and Vendor for all ongoing issues and tracking them to closure.

• Storage Monitoring & Administration.
• Performing business continuity operations & Periodic BCV/SRDF testing/recovery.
• Administration of High range & Midrange Solaris Servers for Retail & Petroleum Projects.
• VERITAS Storage Foundation Administration & License Management
• Implementation of Manual Failover Cluster using a standby/test Server to reduce the impact of H/W failures.
Client: ESRI - Arc Web Services Support, Redlands, CA.
Responsibilities:
• Offshore Solaris System Administration support for ESRI - Arc Web services..
• Participating actively with the onsite team, discussing issues & supporting new implementations.

• System Administration of HP Alpha Servers running on VMS 7.3 OS.
