• Handling all controllership functions of the group with the related entities including consolidation of financials and Quarterly release of Audit Financial statements. The group is made up of 12 entities with variant levels of ownership. Position held with a total count of more than 30 subordinates including seven managers; function covers areas of accounting, internal controls, payroll accounting, shared services/payables, Inventory and costing, credit control and insurance.
• Managing areas of acquisition accounting including Purchase Price Allocation (IFRS 3), Impairment valuation (IAS 16/38), Goodwill. carving out of Financials of separating entities.
• Revising and updating the “Delegation of Authorities” across the group.
• Adjusting and correcting the accounting treatments including Employee balances, Accrued liabilities, taxation accounting (VAT and WHT), Open POs, Inventory provisioning along with related Automatic Accounting Entries (AAI)
• Implementation of Electronic invoicing as per the regulatory requirement of the ZATCA in KSA.
• Implementing a process of stock counting on a semiannual basis
• Tagging of Fixed assets to improve management, accounting, and realization of assets.
• Automation of customers assessment for improved credit control.
• Manage Cash Conversion cycle of the group including Cash inflow and Outflow.
• Contributed to setting up of several legal entities across the globe.
• All Controllership functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Inventory as well Treasury and Corporate Shared services are reporting to the current position held with a total count of more than 50 employees including three Managers. In addition, the role is responsible for running all accounting back office through an outsourcing agency in India and Egypt
• Manage Account receivables and set a new credit strategy with MenaBev clients.
• Ensure control over accounting functions and release of P&L and other financial statements.
• Analyze statutory regulations and Lead implementation of Excise and VAT taxation system.
• Set new Reporting standards in compliance with IFRS
• Set a new control framework leveraged from the well-recognized COSO Framework.
• Set strategy for Cash management policies considering foreseen changes.
• Maintain a robust Bank relation with monthly track on Bank reconciliations.
• Ensure execution of payment through a dedicated team of corporate shared services.
• Manage collection process daily and ensure a secured Bank deposit system is in place through a Cashiers team available in all 9 company branches.
1- Co-ordinate and assist development of strategic plan through analysis of economic models of core business performance (brand/package/channel/territory).
2- Lead and recommend financial and operational assessment of strategic options to ensure sound financial decision-making.
3- Develop Annual Operating Plan and forecast accurately and proactively provide opportunities/risks to management.
4- Compile and forward to CFO/GM KPIs from various departments and reports.
5- Monitor, control and seek approval of all Capex of the company in line with company policy.
6- Review A&M expenses to ensure integrity and policy compliance
7- Prepare management report with analysis of P/L and B/S within set timeframe to facilitate management decision making.
8- Provide business analysis support.
Preparing and Maintaining Financial Plans and Budgets of the Company, Designing and Conducting full fledge feasibility studies that could be related to Innovation Products, Promotions, or Capital Investments. Duties also include projection of Cash flows, Developing, Setting and Maintaining the finance and Accounts’ Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), and Analyzing monthly and Quarterly Financial Reports with variances, Setting Export Pricing strategies and Structures for the GCC and other countries; Reporting to Finance Director. The position is pivotal in many decision makings and constitutes a reliable reference for management.
Performing Financial Analysis Periodically with variance analysis, Forecasting performance based on different methodologies, Setting Standard Production Costs and contributed in an implementation of Manufacturing module in the Enterprice Resource Planning (ERP) system, Preparing 1&5 years Financial plans and yearly budget including development of an Headcount and depreciation Budgets, as well as running various Cost/Benefit analyses; Reporting to Finance Director.
Preparing pricing strategies and cost controls, Preparing budgets that includes sales, Headcount, Depreciation and other expenses. Conducting cost and benefit analysis, Forecasting Payables, handling relation’s with various suppliers on cost/Prices, payments and accounting related matters; Handling also an accounting resposibilities, contributed in implementation of an ERP system and was fully responsible for an implementation of two systems related to Sales order processing. : Maintaing customers accounts receivables and cash handling operations; Conducting monthly credit analysis including a balanced DSO, minimizing risks on defaults through daily authorization of Sales order. Reporting to Finance Manager.
