• Responsible for the database technologies such as RDBMS and NoSQL databases,
• Implement and maintain end-to-end lifecycle of the databases from design, automation, deployment to maintenance,
• Coordinate between various teams,
• Automate database pipelines to enable developers and engineers to perform
database related deployment,
• Identify and mitigate audit risks on database implementation,
• Ensure proper database governance policies in every database deployment,
• Collaborate with various teams on continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD)
to ensure database releases are always in good standards with proper
governance,
• Perform database security activities such as security reviews, implementing
database security policies, logging and etc,
• Maintain documentation and share knowledge related to databases,
• Provide sound advice on different database technologies,
• Proof of concepts on new databases
● Improving the functionality of user site through change request
● Maintaining usability of website by ensuring servers and code used are up to
date with the latest security requirement
● Resolving user reports regarding bugs in the site / functionality, production
support
● Doing deployment of codes in SIT, UAT, StageUAT and Production
● Managing the version control using Azure and Git repositories
● Managing DB using MSSQL: creation of SQL scripts for table creation,
stored procedures, database patching
● Oracle DB in linux environment: Using for performance tuning, creation of indexes
for faster query processing
● Conducting weekly meetings on each functionality of the software programme with other team members as one of adhoc duties
• Managing database using IBM Data Studio
• Preparing technical documentation and reports on requirements and analysis
• Testing and reviewing of test suites
• Reporting and debugging of bugs in the JAVA programming language
• Gathering requirements from Client
