 Conduct inspection before, during and after welding
 Witness welder qualification and mechanical testing of coupons
 Interpreting drawing and specification of materials and welding requirements.
 Fit up inspection before welding
 To review the material certificate chemical composition and the physical properties.
 Review of daily welding and ndt reports
 Confirm the material against the material certificate.
 Check fit up, groove angle, type of groove, root gap and cleanliness of joint.
 Check/organize preheating and post weld heating.
 Check condition of welding equipment, current, voltage and polarity.
 Check proper supply of backing/purging gas if required.
 Supervise and witnessing the welder qualification test as per welding standard procedures.
 Review of specification, referencing codes, standards and WPS.
 Verification and witness of non-destructive tests.
 Conduct inspection of all materials being used for welding activities, Prepare and submit quality report.
 Witness for all testing activities with the client and third party and to get the final documentation after testing approved by them.
 Check individual weld passes, inter pass cleaning and temperature.
 Dimensional check of weld and preparation of stage inspection report.
 Perform welding inspection to ensure that all welding activities are properly executed.
 Check welding procedure (Essential and Non Essential variables) and individual welder qualification.
 Preparation of NDT Interpretation reports as per ASME codes and client requirements.
 RT film interpretation
 Attending repair according to RT film result and Interpretation of UT results.
 Calibration of all Non Destructive Testing equipments.
 Monitoring baking of welding consumables.
 Procedure Qualification, Welder Qualification
 Visual and Dimensional Inspection, Hydro test Reports and Final clearance.
 Maintaining Documentation and taking Corrective action for review of Quality Control.
 Carryout metallographic ( macro Examination)
 Well conversant in isometric & engineering drawings.
 Familiar with Welding & NDE techniques (RT, UT, MT, PT)
 Familiar with metallurgy and metallurgical properties of metals.
