Manage the complete operation of consumer products testing and environmental testing. Handling various hazardous chemicals. Follow MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) and TDS (Technical Data Sheet) in chemicals.
Duties & achievements;
• To conduct analytical test as per methods and /or SOP.
• Responsible for all Textile, Chemical and Environmental tests. The Textile tests are- AZO Dyes, Phthalate, Organotin, PCP, COC, DMFU, DMFA, APEO, AP, Carcinogenic, PaH, Allergenic, Odour, Cationic Surface(CS), PFCS. Chemical tests are- AZO Dyes, APEO, etc and Environmental tests are- BOD, COD, DO, TSS, TDS, Zero Discharge, Chlorinated Solvents (CS), Short Chain chlorinated Paraffin’s (SCCP) etc.
• Conduct surveys and monitoring programs of the natural environment to identify sources of pollution.
• Collect samples of water for analysis; measured physical, biological, chemical (organic and inorganic).
• Conduct surveys and monitoring programs of industrial waste water management.
• To maintaining all the requirements as per ISO 17025.
• Preparation of raw report.
• Read, understand and comply the Bureau Veritus Code of Ethics.
• Instrument analysis: GC-MS, LC-MS, HPLC, UPLC, FTIR, UV-VIS, Spectrophotometer etc.
HSE Responsibilities:
1. Comply and respect the requirements of the location’s HSE policy, principles/requirements and HSE management system.
2. Correctly use tools, equipment and required personal protective equipment as instructed in accordance to safe work practices.
3. Investigate health and safety related complaints, spills of hazardous chemicals, outbreaks of diseases or poisonings and workplace accidents.
4. Develop, implement and evaluate health and safety programs and strategies.
5. Report to work in a fit condition and not under the influence of alcohol or by illicit substances such as drug or under any condition that may affect the employee’s ability to complete assigned task.
6. Promptly report all HSE related incidents and near misses and potential hazardous working conditions or work practices to their immediate boss.
