Provide guidance and support to partners’ staff to manage and implement
project activities.
• Develop resource book for teachers & related materials for primary education.
• Organize and conduct training courses, workshops and refreshers for partner organization's staffs (for Field Coordinators and Technical Officers’).
• With Finance, oversee project budget and expenditures. Analyze budget periodically to follow variances.
• Assist in developing a monitoring and assessment system for primary education.
• Ensure gender equality, child safety policy & child rights in every component of the program.
• Develop & manage relationships with government, partner's NGO's and appropriate educational bodies.
• Organize and conduct training courses, workshops and refreshers for partner organization's staffs (Technical Officer & Program Organizer).
• Prepare quarterly & annual reports in a timely manner.
• Develop a quality curriculum, instructional book for teachers & related materials for non- formal primary education.
• Conduct training need assessment (TNA) both institutional and field based.
• Prepare training schedule and module as per need of the program.
• Carry out training follow up and make recommendation to program.
• Conduct pedagogy of text training and follow up refreshers training.
• As per Pedagogy of the Text (PoT) carry out the responsibilities and follow the technical instruction.
• Analyze project budget periodically to follow variance
• Technical support provide to other JCF & CMES’s education program.
• With the project team and local GOB counter parts, responsible for selecting project area and project schools.
• Responsible for implementing the early primary education components
• Provide regular support and supervision to primary education component.
• Implement different training courses and training materials.
• Organize and conduct training courses, workshops and refreshers.
• With Finance, oversee project budget and expenditures. Analyze budget periodically to follow variances.
• Supervise and Monitoring different programs of education, health care etc.
• Planning out and implementation of action plan in program with concerned staff’s.
• Guiding the staff in the project guideline.
• Selecting the communities and the target groups for development.
• Making survey and collect data and information from the community.
• Preparing budget for the programs and making liaison with GO and NGO.
Master of Development Studies (MDS) is an academic program in the BRAC Development Institute (www.bracdevelopmentinstitute.org), BRAC University that promotes research and builds knowledge on practical solutions to problems of the poor in the global South. MDS frequently draws upon human resources and field experiences of BRAC. Local and international academics and practitioners constitute the faculty members of MDS. Objectives of the Program The Masters in Development Studies (MDS) seeks to create professionals who have the conceptual clarity, analytical skills and academic knowledge to effectively address strategic and practical challenges in development. The program is designed to provide a rigorous and critical understanding of development theory and practice from a broad inter-disciplinary perspective. On satisfactory completion of the program, students will be able to approach and analyze development issues in the context of globalization, economic transformation, and social, cultural and political changes.
