• Demonstrated technical leadership in design, development and implementation of literacy program in Room to Read Bangladesh and Srilanka (both Sinhala and Tamil Language).
• Oriented to Bangladesh and Srilanka country team on new teaching approach and supported to develop new pupil book and teacher Guide for grade-1 and grade-2. Currently this materials are being used by 425 Govt. primary school in Bangladesh and 292 Govt. primary school in Srilanka.
• Supported to develop early grade reading assessment tool for Room to Read country program of Bangladesh. Rom to Read Bangladesh country office team using this tool in 425 Govt primary schools to assess the learning outcome of the students.
• Developed two professional training module on sustainability of the program. This two modules has included in Room to Read global PD package and currently using in nine countries.
• Reviewed curriculum development manual of Room to Read and incorporated specific activities on development of contents. Currently Room to Read supported nine countries are using this manual to develop their early grade reading instruction program.
• Facilitated a number of capacity building sessions for 92 program staffs of Room to Read Bangladesh. Currently they are supporting 425 Government primary schools in Bangladesh to adopt and implement new literacy approach of Room to Read.
• Participated a number of result sharing meeting with Directorate of Primary Education (DPE), National Curriculum and Text Book Board (NCTB) and Donors’ representatives and convinced them about the Room to Read approach.
• Represented Room to Read in Global Book Alliance of USAID and recommended a number of actions on effective use of books with other group members.
• Participated in global meeting regularly with other departments of Room to Read and shared the program updates, constraints and successes.
• Guided the technical team of 3 partner organizations’ (RDRS, JCF and CODEC) to implement of non-formal basic primary and early primary education program (SHIKHON) in Bangladesh and achieved expected result.
• Coordinated between IER of Dhaka University and Save the Children to conduct education situation Analysis of Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) districts and provided professional support in data collection and analysis.
• Participated regularly in INGO emergency subcommittee meeting headed by IOM and supported to develop strategic paper on capacity building activities for national NGOs.
• Supervised of two managers and two program officers and delegated the specific activities for better outcome of the program.
• Chaired of the Basic Education working group of Save the Children International in Bangladesh and maintained cross projects and cross sectors collaboration and integration.
• Developed learning support form (LSF) and executed the form for monitoring 4400 non-formal education centers’ activities.
• Managed quality related sub-grants allocation and analyzed the disbursement of funds and took appropriate measures.
• Oriented on child safety policy to the partners’ staffs and executed it in school level.
• Led the team to develop, review and adapt the government curriculum of Non-Formal Primary Education (NFPE), Early Primary Education (EPE), Out of School Support activity and Mother -Tongue Based Multi-Lingual Education (MTB-MLE) components in program context.
• Collaborated with a pool of consultant to develop teacher guide and workbook. Total 28 teacher guide for NFPE, 2 text book for MTBMLE and 9 workbooks for Early Primary components developed within assigned time frame.
• Supported to develop quality related part of project proposal for EU funded SHARE program. Save the Children submitted the proposal and won the bid as SHIKHON 2nd phase.
• Performed as central procurement committee member of Save the Children International in
Bangladesh and supported the procurement team to enlist of vendor, analysis the tender documents and bidding process.
• Facilitated a materials development process for creating an ideal resource bank for teachers of primary School and developed total 6 teachers’ guide and 3 workbooks and Revised and updated 21 books for basic Primary education of SHIKHON phase-1 project.
• Supported procurement team of Save the Children-USA in Bangladesh on bidding process and leaded to develop a strategy for determining printing decisions and timelines for SHIKHON’s published titles in collaboration with procurement team.
• Participated regular field visit program (at least 60%) to monitor implementation progress and collected and analyzed data for further adjustment.
• Coordinated with 3 partner organizations (RDRS, JCF and FIVDB) to track program implementation and participated in regular field visit activities to ensure quality program deliverables;
• Organized and conducted ToT, basic training and refreshers for partner organization's staffs.
• Provided guidance and feedback on materials design process to consultants and ensured timely publication of the materials.
• Conducted pedagogy of text (PoT) training and followed up refreshers training, as per Pedagogy of the Text (PoT) principles.
• Developed numeracy and science related materials based on Pedagogy of the Text (PoT) principles.
• Guided and instructed to the teachers in the project school.
• Analyzed project budget periodically to follow variance and took appropriate measurement on disbursement.
• Supported to Identify project area and 360 potential primary schools for project activities,
• Leaded the field team to implement the early primary education components and established 720 classroom based school library, 360 community based Child to Child groups (CtC), 360 Community Learning Circles(CLC) and 360 community group (SAG) in the project area.
• Developed training materials on Child to Child (CtC) components and facilitated different courses, workshops and refreshers.
• Analyzed project budget and expenditures to follow variances.
• Prepared monthly, quarterly, annual reports in a timely manner for project area, maintained liaise with relevant local NGO’s, local GOB officials and education related organizations for effective program implementation.
