• Supervise the operation and maintenance of different farm implements including deep tube-wells (DTWs).
• Perform administrative, HR and support services management activities, formulate and execute farm and labour mgt. policies.

• Maintain & strengthen research-extension linkage with different GOs & NGOs.
• Motivate and help farmers for adopting HYV jute production practices for quality jute fiber and seed production
• Government Loan Management for supporting the farmers for quality jute fiber production.
• Guide and supervise the activities of subordinates
• Work for expansion/increase area coverage of jute.
• Policy planning, maintain Extension-Research linkage etc.
