Recruitment Consultant
I relocated to Dubai to be a 360 recruitment consultant specifically identifying and recruiting marketing professionals for digital/media/creative and PR agencies. Specific roles which I handled included account managers, executives, social media, media planners and buyers, sales and many more. I moved over to Programmed to start up the agency market desk from scratch.
• Built up the agency desk from scratch, speaking with candidates gaining a good understanding of the market
• Conducting in depth interviews with 6+ candidates per day drawn from the local and the overseas market
• Identifying and attracting suitably experienced personnel at all levels through headhunting, networking, market mapping and referrals
• Strong candidate retention skills, building trust through appropriate communication by continuously updating the candidate
• Business development - Meeting agencies in the market to introduce our strategy, available services and gaining an understanding of their recruitment plans.
• Sales calls, at least 6 per day, to both new and existing clients selling the best candidates on the market, gaining an understanding of recruitment plans in the business and selling recruitment services going forward.
• Built and maintained working relationships with multinational agencies as well as local boutique agencies.
• Negotiated terms of business to work with both multinational groups and local agencies
• Account managing 20+ agencies, working closely with key decision makers through regular calls and meetings to discuss live roles as well as updating them on the top available candidates in the markets.

I joined White Label as a trainee recruitment consultant to specifically recruit mechanical design engineers and design managers on a permanent basis. Working mainly with SME companies. Experienced working on a 360-desk building up a client and candidate database developing strong market knowledge within mechanical engineering and design. After 8 months of showing success and rapid progression I was promoted to recruitment level 1 consultant.
• Experienced working to and exceeding agreed targets and KPI’s. I successfully hit my first yearly target and exceeded it by 30%.
• Consistently billing on average £12, 000 - £15, 000 per month
• Negotiating salaries and benefits between candidates and clients as well as negotiating the best rates for the business. My average placement fee is at 21% which is amongst the highest in the office
• Attending on average 5 client meetings per month to find out more about their business and to create strong client relationships for immediate and future business
• Cold calling companies to generate business
• Producing project plans with clients to draw up an agreed recruitment process to make sure there is a full understanding of what the client is looking for as well as negotiating exclusive agreements with clients
• Using an open and honest approach to ensure that trust is gained whilst managing client and candidate control
• Successfully identifying the best talent on the market in a highly candidate driven industry, with a 1:1 CV to interview ratio using headhunting and various other resourcing techniques
• Interviewing at least 5 candidates per day over the phone and face to face using appropriate techniques to improve commercial awareness and to find the best engineers on the market
• Continuously developing and updating market knowledge through contacts, engineering/construction forums, engineering literature and social media
• Due to my success I was asked to train and mentor new consultants within the business.

• Consultant of the year 2014 after being the fastest consultant to be promoted to level 1 and exceeding my first year target by 30%
• Employee of the month several times
• Top biller - I was top biller in one month of my first year of recruitment billing £23, 545.
• Excellent feedback from clients
• Developed the North West design market
• Repeat clients - Completed 2 + deals with two new clients as well as 6+ clients that will come to me with repeat business. Successfully developed relationships by meeting clients and providing clear communication with a good service throughout the process
