a.Organizes and maintains system for processing purchase requisitions and purchase orders issued by end users in the Company according to Procurement procedures and guidelines. Receives assignments daily from Supervisor, Purchasing or Procurement GM.
b.Prepares and handles requests for quotations from qualified suppliers as per Company established guidelines; prepares tabulations of quotations; negotiates with suppliers for economical offers and on time delivery; recommends award of purchase orders against feasible offer received; communicates occasionally with the users regarding any deviation from specifications or any delay in delivery; and keeps the users informed of any development until the orders are finalized and the goods are received.
c.Ensures that the requisitions are appropriately authorized by requestioner in accordance with the approval guidelines on authority limits, and updates the status of purchase orders.
d.Expedites processing of all approved purchase orders; contacts suppliers to confirm orders; and follows up procurement and delivery to meet the time requirement of the end-user. Informs Customs Clearance of arrival details, provide shipping details with all required documents to Customs Clearance Section. Follow up with Customs Clearance for timely clearance of the material. Liase with suppliers in case of any discrepancy in the documents.
e.Review if G.R. processed in system by receiving section for material delivered, if required.
