Responsible for overall Duqm Refinery Project (DRP) valued at 10 billion USD planning and reporting integration. Working directly with respective integrated project management team (IPMT) team members across 3 major EPC packages.
Dash boards preparation for the Projects, reporting directly to OQ8 CEO.
Planning the project to accomplish its goals within constraints such as time, cost and agreed safety and quality standards.
Analyzing and reporting project status, risks, schedule, and costs to all internal and external stakeholders.
Continuous reviews of Level 3 Primavera schedules. Coaching of project team members.
Prepare and issue Weekly and Monthly Overall Progress Reports.
Prepare Lender’s Quarterly Presentations and Reports.
Developing and implementing risk control measures that have been identified as part of the Group risk assessment process.
Project Management Consultant (PMC) working directly with Abu Dhabi Oil Refining Company (TAKREER)’s project management team at site in Al Ruwais, Abu Dhabi and in Seoul Home Office of EPC Contractor Samsung Engineering C.L.. Responsible for the overall delivery of Project Controls on combined 2.5 billion US$ value for Carbon Black Delayed Coker (CBDC) Project. Responsibilities include:
• Supervised Project Controls Management teams (40 professionals) of EPC Contractor and PMC team (1 planner and 6 document controllers) on behalf of TAKREER.
• Approval of Project Controls procedures of EPC Contractors.
• Consulting on development of Planning Dossier including Baseline Schedule and Progress Measurement System with complete S-curves and manpower histograms for the entire project.
• Progress Measurement and invoicing approval using Planning Dossier.
• Monthly and Weekly Progress Reporting both to client and Jacobs Management using Microsoft Office Applications.
• Planning and Scheduling using Primavera 6.
• Schedule Risk Analysis and Reporting using Pertmaster.
Responsible for the overall delivery of Project Controls including Reporting, Cost Control, Planning and Scheduling of Dudgeon Point Port Expansion Project (EPCM). Project was cancelled due to client’s decision to defer the investment given the current economic conditions.
Responsible as Head of Project Controls Oil & Gas for the overall delivery of Project Controls including Reporting, Cost Control, Planning and Scheduling of Oil and Gas department projects of Laing O’Rourke (EPC). Clients include Origin Energy, Queensland Gas Corporation and INPEX.
• Instrumental in winning Origin’s 700 million AUD APLNG Project and INPEX’s 500 million AUD Darwin Cryogenic Tanks Project for Laing O’Rourke due to Planning & Scheduling expertise applied and presented to clients successfully. These two projects alone secured target work back-log for Laing O’Rourke Australia for 2012.
• Hiring for key positions like Project Controls Manager and Lead Planner for the above projects and setting up of project execution plans.
• Setting up of specific Oil & Gas Project Controls Procedures for mega projects like APLNG.
Project Management Consultant (PMC) working directly with Abu Dhabi Oil Refining Company (TAKREER)’s project management team in Home Office of EPC Contractors Daewoo for Mussafah Terminal Package and GoldStar (GS) for Main EPC Package. Responsible for the overall delivery of Project Controls on combined 1 billion US$ value Inter Refineries Pipeline Phase II (IRP-II) Project. Responsibilities include:
• Supervised Project Controls Management teams (30 professionals) of EPC Contractors and PMC team (4 Document Controllers) on behalf of TAKREER.
• Approval of Project Controls procedures of EPC Contractors.
• Consulting on development of Planning Dossier including Baseline Schedule and Progress Measurement System with complete S-curves and manpower histograms for the entire project.
• Progress Measurement and invoicing approval using EPC Contractor’s propriety Scheduling Information Tracking System (SITS) and Electronic Document Management System (EDMS - SmartPlant).
• Monthly and Weekly Progress Reporting both to client and Tebodin Management using Microsoft Office Applications.
• Planning and Scheduling using Primavera 6.
• Schedule Risk Analysis and Reporting using Pertmaster.
Responsible for the overall delivery of Project Controls including Reporting, Cost Control, Planning and Scheduling on 2.5B$ Transnet Oreline Corridor Expansion Projects for Port of Saldanha and Saldanha Sishen Rail line. These projects will expand the export capacity of Saldanha Port and Rail line from 29mtpa to 60mtpa (EPCM).
• Developed Key Performance Indicators with client's management.
• Supervised a project controls team of 25 project controls professionals.
• Not only reduced overtime to zero which was 25 per cent on average and submitted deliverables to client on time consistently. This was not achieved in the program before.
• Prepared monthly progress reports and presentations for Transnet Management and HMG Management.
• Developed, monitored and reported a re-baseline schedule for the project using Primavera.
• Developed and reported cash-flow (expenditure) forecasts on a yearly and monthly basis.
• Monitored engineering (iPAS EP), procurement (iPAS PC) and construction management progress.
Responsibilities include cost and schedule management for 400M$ investment 400kTA SABIC YANSAB HDPE project (EPCM). Also responsible for preparation of schedule and cost reports as well as client quarterly review presentations.
• Supervising teams of 5 to 6 project controls professionals.
• Participated in LSTK Conversion estimate for YANSAB HDPE Project.
Responsible for planning and scheduling activities of 700M$ INDUS Refinery Project (EPC).
• Ensured that correct and complete scope of work is reflected on all schedules.
• Identified and documented activity durations and logic leading to baseline schedule.
• Analyzed schedule progress and performance, identified problem areas, provided recommendations for improvement and corrective actions.
• Provided schedule updates including monthly schedule status reports, critical path analysis, and monthly look ahead schedule.
Responsible for Sudbury Office Project Controls activities such as estimating, planning, scheduling, cost control and risk management with various client projects in Sudbury area with clients INCO and Falconbridge (EPCM).
• Worked for 2B$ investment, Falconbridge Nickel Rim South Project, developing Level 4 Primavera schedule (10, 000 activities).
• Consulted in various client projects (INCO, Falconbridge) to develop project controls systems in conjunction with head office in Mississauga, design office, cost control and procurement.
• Developed and controlled resource estimates/forecasts for Sudbury Office operations.
Responsible for preparing contingency plans and detailed schedules (8, 000 activities) with subcontractors to meet the target dates for 800 million Rijnmond Energy Center Project (EPC), which received Bechtel Corporation’s “Honorable Mention 2004” Award, given to second best controlled project of the corporation, among Bechtel’s approximately two hundred sites all over the world. Prepared weekly and monthly progress reports and coordinated with worldwide offices Washington, London, Istanbul and New Delhi.
Responsible for administrating subcontractors and monitored progress of Lanesboro Peat Power Plant Project (EPC) valued at 500 million US$. Supervised and coordinated 30 technical staff and 110 workers.
