 Revenue Optimization - Reservations Services is one of the departments of the revenue optimization (space control).
 Reporting to the officer and responsible for working in services, support and schedule area of reservations services and ensuring that the EK Res and ticket offices world-wide are fully supported on a 24 x 7 x 365 basis, in all aspects of MARS usage.
 Provide help desk support to the entire EK reservations and ticketing network 24 hrs a day by means of telephone, email and fax. Redirect any problems immediately to the appropriate department to handle.
 Handle medical cases in co-ordination with medical services, IFS and engineering, airport medical centre thus ensuring company policies and procedures have been followed correctly for stretcher / oxygen / wheelchairs etc.
 Rebook / reroute passengers with onward carriage and inform reservations and airport services offices of the action taken where flight disruptions have taken place. Ensure these are handled according to EK procedures in a timely manner in close co-ordination with the stations and departments concerned, whilst ensuring minimal inconvenience to the passengers.
 Action all aircraft / configuration changes as advised by yield management, operations, planning or engineering on the EK network accurately and in a timely manner.
 Action all movement messages for EK flights in MARS within the prescribed timescale so the network is aware of all flight ATA / ATD and any delays.
 Identify all passengers needing special handling like special meals, bassinets, wheelchairs, stretcher cases / auxiliary and specific seat requests on the entire EK network. Process service requests on individual PNRS from various GDS/CRS and correct PNRs where they have incomplete services or incorrect formats thus ensuring customer satisfaction is maintained and complaints are minimized.
 Analyse and edit teletype reject messages from other airlines and GDS in an accurate and timely manner and re-input them into MARS for automatic processing.
 Working as shift coordinator and handle shift and all tasks of supervisor independently and manage the department / shift smoothly.
 Assigning work equally to all the shift members.
 Handling groups, teams efficiently such as Rugby, Hajj & Umrah, Football, Cricket etc.
