Lead a group of assistant and graduate design engineers in electrical design by preparing drawing markups and electrical calculations such as Load analysis, Lighting design, Cable tray and Busduct sizing, Central Battery system, UPS system, Earthing and Grounding networks, Fire detection and alarm system, Lightning protection system, Low to Medium voltage distribution network, Transformer and Generator sizing, Substation design, Motor control center and other project requirements in accordance with agreed time tables.
Assisting my Senior Engineers in producing the design specifications, design reports, and finalizing all required design calculations.
Liaise with our Project Architects, other engineering disciplines and BIM modelers as required.
Maintained open and effective communications with design teams to increase productivity.
Undertaking quality assurance checking of drawings and calculations produced by my team members as directed by my function leader.
Preparing electrical designs from interior to outdoor lighting design, streetlights, façade lightings, CCTV surveillance system, Telecom networks, fire detection and alarm system (FDAS), lightning protection, low to medium voltage distribution network system, cable tray and cable ducts sizing, emergency system, transformer and generator sizing, voltage drop and short-circuit calculation, grounding/earthing system, and other project requirements in accordance with agreed time tables.
Reviewing shop drawings for approval and coordinating with other trade and construction team.
Collaborating with associate disciplines to ensure that interfaces have been considered and designed.
Performing periodic visit to our project sites to ensure that work is in accordance with the contract drawings and specifications.
Preparing bill of quantities, estimation and equipment specification and selection.
Responsible for all drafting works, especially in Electrical design.
Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications.
Preparing electrical designs from Design of Lighting and Receptacle loads, Emergency & Exit Lights, Breaker Sizing, Voltage Drop & Short-Circuit Calculation, Grounding & Earthing System, Cable & Conduit Sizing, Single Line Diagrams, Hazardous Area Classifications and Equipment Layout Drawings etc.
Finalizing drawings and documentations with compliance to the specifications.
Preparing new drawings make revisions to existing drawings from communication or written instructions, detailed sketches or explicitly marked print.
Preparing drawings according to standards.
