- CIO delegate - Manage and supervise database and application team. - Define database and application team annual objectives according to management vision. - Review and follow up on team assigned tasks and ensure proper delivery. - Design and size all databases and applications new projects. - Validate and approve system updates based on internal or external requests. - Provide full support to team members - Manage communication with all database and applicatio vendors - Provide technical support for internal and external clients when escalation is required. - Ensure system availability, reliability and scalability. - Ensure database and application security and applying required database and applications controls and provide evidences during the security audit. - Enhance systems performance and ensure that the environment is updated with the latest technologies. - Responsible for hiring, performance appraisal, training and development plans for direct subordinates.
- Managing and Supervising for a Team of experts in Database and System Administrators - Implements new enterprise systems and apply enhancements on it - Instructs and provides guidance and assistance to less experienced systems administrators, database administrators and other computer system personnel as required. - Performs capacity planning required to design, develop, test, implement and maintain databases, applications and systems. - Designs and implements action and policies and procedures for efficient system utilization. - Responsible with my team for Designing, Implementing, Hardening, Administrating, Monitoring, Tuning, Backup, Patching and Enhancements Planning for : 1- Database Platforms 2- Applications Platforms 3- Web Servers Platforms 4- Linux / Unix Boxes - Plans and develops disaster recovery procedures. - Administrating HSM Key Management for securing MSCC web Servers - Develops and maintains standards, procedures, and documentation related to assigned systems.
Responsible for: - All Linux Enterprise Platforms. - Oracle Database Platforms. - Disaster Recover Platforms Oracle & Informix - IBM Informix Database Platform. - 10g Oracle RACs. - All WebServers Platform (Apache - Tomcat - IIS ). - Creating any Scripts (Linux & Windows)for automating tasks.
- Installing Oracle server and client software, creating, upgrading and patching databases in Linux and Windows - Upgrading and Migration of oracle database to higher version (from 9i and 10G) in multi platforms. • Periodic Patching of database. - Upgrading and patching databases in Linux and Windows - Periodic Patching of database. - Tuning Oracle databases and tuning applications (SQL), for tuning SQL working closely with development team. - Planning, scheduling and taking Oracle backups. - Backups and Recovery strategies using RMAN, Export/Import. - Managing physical standby databases using Oracle Data Guard feature for High availability configuration. - Installation, Configuration and deployment of Oracle 10g database and Real Application Clusters (RAC) on different nodes with Automatic Storage Management (ASM). - Fulfilling DBA daily activities including user management (creating users, privileges, roles, quotas, table, index, sequence etc.), space management (table space, undo segment), monitoring (alert log, memory, disk I/O, CPU, database network connectivity). - Working closely with developers, provided Oracle DBA support and technical support for multiple applications in development, Test, QA, UAT and production environments. - UNIX/Linux SHELL Scripting.
Installing & Administration of:
- Windows Servers (AD, DNS, DHCP, License Servers)
- Linux / Unix Servers
- Change Control System (Tripwire)
- Centralized Log Management System
- Citrix ( XenApp / XenVirtualization )
- IDS/IPS Systems (SourceFire)
- Provide 1st line support on monitoring and maintaining physical environment containing Data center, fire alarm, fire fighting, air conditions and UPS. - Provide support for our most critical 24/7 Platforms. - Responsible for monitoring all Company Connections with all external clients. - Responsible for monitoring the Health and Performance of all the company live systems and taking the correction actions to recover all problem in these servers. - Responsible for reviewing the backups for all systems. - Responsible for managing the company Active Directories. - Report daily activities and events on the monitored system. - Escalate complex problems to 2nd line support team. - Performing Daily Backup process for all sensitive data, troubleshooting and solving backup errors in addition to record events in tapes daily transaction report. - Install and configure computer systems within agreed policies/procedures, diagnose hardware/software, Operating system, applications and network faults. - Deploying the latest security patches to all PCs .

Bachelor's Degree of Computer Sciences from Mansoura University.
