Nurse-In-Charge/Supervisor
Assess patient care and staff requirements on each unit, by making rounds in all clinic areas of the hospital (according to departmental need/activity).
Serve as a resource to staff for solving clinical problems.
Assist staff to efficiently utilize staffing resources to meet patient care requirements and other
professional responsibilities.
Respond to emergency situations (Code Blue) and assists as necessary.
Anticipate actual/potential problems that may occur on their shift and sets shift priorities
accordingly.
Prepares staffs allocation/schedule.
Assist staff to provide a safe work environment for patient care.
Assist in the preparation and implementation of the annual goals for the department such
as JCIA, CBAHI accreditation.
Handle calls independently and channels other to appropriate staff members, relay all messages and information accurately.
Ability to communicate patiently with all levels to hospital employee as well as patients and superiors.
Work in compliance with nursing department policies and procedures.
OPD Orthopedic Staff Nurse
Gives direct nursing care.
Identifies nursing needs of patients, plans, gives, evaluates and documents nursing care and outcomes.
Takes and records vital signs accurately.
Observes signs and symptoms, institute remedial actions appropriate and record these in the patient’s chart as well as reporting to the physician.
Acts as Liaison between patient and hospital personnel.
Provide information and support to patients and family members regarding condition, prognosis and treatment program.
Interprets to the patient and his family their roles in promoting successful therapy and rehabilitation.
Administers and charts accurately all the medication/s given and patient’s reaction/s to medication if any.
Administers medications through IM, IV, SQ as per doctor’s order.
Acts as senior nurse when needed.
Gives health teaching (post op wound care, cast care, fall precautions, etc).
Removes cast or back slab.
Post-operative wound dressing and suture removal under sterile condition.
Assisting the doctor in the clinic.
ER nurse
Gives direct nursing care.
Identifies nursing needs of patients, plans, gives, evaluates and documents nursing care and outcomes.
Takes and records vital signs accurately.
Observes signs and symptoms, institute remedial actions appropriate and record these in the patient’s chart as well as reporting to the physician.
Acts as Liaison between patient and hospital personnel.
Provide information and support to patients and family members regarding condition, prognosis and treatment program.
Interprets to the patient and his family their roles in promoting successful therapy and rehabilitation.
Prepares patients and assists physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Carries out doctors legal orders.
Administers and charts accurately all the medication/s given and patient’s reaction/s to medication if any.
Administers medications through IM, IV, SQ as per doctors order.
Wound dressing and stitches removal.
Acts as a Senior Nurse when so delegated.
Sees to it that equipment receive proper care and maintenance.
Gives health teaching.
Provides emergency medical care for patients suffering from trauma, acute chest pain, respiratory failure, etc.
Manage multiple critically ill patients.
Proven record of reliability and responsibility.
Develop rapport with patients, family, staff and physicians.
Relate well to people from a variety of cultures.
Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing (4-year course)
