• Identifies and completes patient service requirement in Inpatient Department by adhering to nursing guidelines.
• Assures quality care, establishes compassionate environment, meets patient needs, maintains safe and clean working environment, and ensures operation of medical and administrative equipment.
• Provides direct quality nursing care to patients with cases classified as Medical and Surgical, in accordance with physicians’ orders.
• Promotes and restores the patient’s health and wellness by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members with focus on quality patient care adherent to hospital protocol and in accordance with nursing standards of care.
• Goes with the doctor’s rounds and assists any medical, diagnostic or surgical procedures done at the patient’s bedside, providing privacy and moral support to the patient
• Utilizing the nursing process as a tool and observing both professional and ethical standards.
• Interprets physicians’ medical orders intelligently and updates them of the patient’s general condition.
• Establishes good rapport with patients, and with family members to encourage them to take part in the health care plan for their patient.
• Holds in confidence whatever information that may come to his/her knowledge regarding medical and/or personal matters about the patient with 100% compliance to Code of Professional Conduct and Patient’s Rights.
• Responsible for the provision of treatment to patients, facilitate schedule of laboratory studies, assistance during diagnostic procedure, administration of medication and injections, health education, documentation of data, follow-up and coordination of care planning to other departments.
