• Carry out assessment of mental health needs in Bar Elias and surrounding area community
• Plan and follow-up (in collaboration with MMHAM and PMR) the implementation of community based MHPSS
intervention in Bar Elias and surrounding area (Refugee camps and host population)
• Coordinate and collaborate with other MHPSS actors in Central Bekaa and West Bekaa
• Provide Individual and Group Mental Health Psychosocial Support activities in Bar Elias and surrounding
community according to MSF protocols
• Provide technical support/training (in collaboration with MMHAM) to Community Mental Health Workers
• (CMHW) in the implementation of Psychosocial Support (PSS) activities in the community (Refugee camps and host
population).
• Evaluate patients and elaborate diagnosis and a treatment plan. Informing the patient and his/her relatives about
the possible consequences of the MH symptoms to follow and referring patients to other health professionals
whenever necessary, in order to provide the most appropriate treatment and improve the patient's condition
• Assess and evaluate at all times the changes in mental health needs/ identification of specific vulnerable
subgroups(s) within the target population in collaboration with the medical team
• Inform the Mental Health referent and the medical team about any issues or problems that may arise related to
patients’ assessment and treatment in order to provide the best quality of services
• Ensure timely MH reports are done and certificates are prepared for the patients.
• Ensure proper networking, maintain and keep updated the mapping of other actors providing MH support.
• Provide information on pertinent psychological issues and concerns and psychoeducation for patients in hospital,
their families
• Participate and provide input to the Mental Health team meetings and case discussions
• Ensure complete documentation of all MHPSS activities (group and individual), in the patient file and statistic
• Identification and monitoring of protection risks and protection cases.
• Plans and organizes assessment of needs and outreach activities under the supervision of the Team Leader and
Coordinator.
• Supports the Team Leader in coordinating CP activities in each of the areas covered by the project.
• Refers (internally and externally) beneficiaries in need of special care according to referral pathways after the
approval of the Team Leader.
• Organizes regular awareness and CP activities in coordination with the Team Leader.
• Actively participates in the trainings provided by TDH IT or other partner Organization and participates in the
weekly coordination meetings to share lessons learned and exchange experiences.
• Writes weekly reports in collaboration with the Team Leader.
• Ensure proper documentation of data collected
• Provide one to one clinical psychology consultations for mental health patients
• Follow—up and report on the patients’ cases and progress
• Documenting the cases and reporting the targets and impressions to internal (PHCC) and external entities such as
other NGOs on monthly basis
• Coordinating with MoPH Mental Health Department and attending the routine meetings and training sessions for
updates
• Assess psychosocial and mental health needs of the children and caregivers referred or self-referred to MHPSS
services, and determine if further intervention is needed
• Coordinate the development of an intervention plan to assist children and families in overcoming emotional,
relational and developmental difficulties
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior psychologists, social workers and case workers
• Identify protection needs and contribute to the development of relevant interventions
• Abide to standards of best clinical practice, confidentiality and informed consent
• Document interventions in compliance with guidelines and procedures
• Report monthly to Project Coordinator
