• A general knowledge of instrument care and patient care. • Apply principles of microbiology and infection control to all activities in restricted and semi-restricted areas as per AAMI and CDC standards. • Disassembling, decontaminating, inspecting, reassembling surgical/medical instrument in accordance with established procedures or instruction for use. • Adheres to principles of infection control and to Occupational Health and Safety Policies & Procedures. • Demonstrates knowledge of the AAMI Standards.
