Outsourced at the Ministry of Works, Bahrain as an IT Support Engineer.
Job Duties Include :
- Troubleshooting of Various Hardware/Software & Network Related Issues.
- Provides 2nd-line support for end-users over the phone, e-mail, and/or ticketing system for problems that are escalated by Computer System Specialists. Those might include hardware, system, application, peripheral, or network problems related to end-user equipment.
• Troubleshooting Various IT Desktop Support Issues for Users.
• Looking into projects to provide IT Services for Customers based on their requirements.
•Responsible for planning and implementation of core network Infrastructure
•Responsible for routine upgrades/backups on client/server's when required.
•Manages the purchasing of all software, hardware and other IT supplies
•Troubleshooting on all related IT issues..
•Management of Network Security Cyberoam UTM FIrewall for protection of internal network from outside threats.
•Daily Active Reporting Schedule based on Network Threat/Utilzation & User Activity.
My main role in the organization is:
•Basic Experience on Juniper EX 3200 Switches, Juniper MX240 & MX480 Routers
• Configuration of Aperto PacketMAX & Packetwave CPE's (Wimax Solutions)
• Implementation & Configuring Network Monitoring Tools (Orion Solarwinds, IPSwitch Whatsup Gold, Snmpc Server )
• Implementation of Network Archticture for Clients Connectivity to Backbone Network.
• 2nd Level Troubleshooting with Customers.
•Basic Support of Cisco CallManager Express.
•Configuration & Support of Cisco ASA 5510 Firewall.
• Provision of Routine Upgrades, Fixes to provide fault tolerance & monitoring Network Perfomance.
• Support /Troubleshoot Day to day queries of customers
• Troubleshooting, Installing & Configuring LAN & WAN including Wireless networks (Point to Point. Point to Multi-Point Links.)
• Coordinating with the Network Engineers with the service related issues.
• Monitoring the performance of Networks through our NMS.
• Giving training to the Customer Service Agents related to the process and products.
• Support & Installation of Network Devices.
• Site Survey / Network Planning & Implementation.
• Configuring & Implementation for Home DSL Clients as well as Various Network Projects.
My main role in the organization is:
• Maintained the availability of company computer resources including servers, workstations, laptops, printers and multimedia equipment.
• Administered multi-server Windows NT LAN, 100+ workstations and 100+ end-users.
• Recommended, evaluated and purchased IT assets.
• Maintained inventory of IT assets.
• Designed and implemented multi-node network expansion.
• Implemented Internet proxy/firewall and monitoring solution.
• Administered and maintained Microsoft Exchange Server and user accounts.
• Maintained and implemented disaster recovery plans.
• Maintained all servers, PC’s, workstations and printers.
• Help Desk / End-user support for hardware, software and Windows operating systems.

• Maintained network security policy, addressed server security issues and applied appropriate security patches and upgrades.

• I was in-charge of implementing the client/server based network where I am also responsible to maintain the file & mail server.
