Responsibilities:
- Providing on-site leadership for the project team, and the contractors and consultant teams.
- Monitor project progress and production schedule and instigate necessary actions to resolve issues and mitigate delays.
- Anticipates and contributes to resolving various project risks such as changes in scope and slippage of schedules.
- Advise the management of any foreseen failure by the Contractor/ slippage of progress and propose corrective actions.
- Action and responding to inquiries and correspondences from Consultant/ Contractor or stakeholders.
- Oversee & monitor the implementation of the construction management plan.
- Ensures that necessary approvals and permits are sought and obtained for all aspects of the project and provides support when necessary.
- Oversee the implementation of the traffic diversion plans developed by the Contractor.
- Assist on reviewing and analyzing Site Instructions and Variations.
- Interfacing (when needed) with business owners adjacent to the work site to mitigate the construction impacts on the public and assist in resolving related emerging issues.
- Review weekly and monthly reports as presented by the Consultant and Contractor and present comments of non-compliance and/or areas of concern and corrective actions to the management.
- In association with the HSE Manager, oversee construction safety, health standards and safety performance.
- Monitor and support in handling issues related to external obstructions and oversee real-time mitigation strategies.
- Providing status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues and communicating it across the leadership team.
