Management and implementation of an education project, inclusive of but not limited to:
Staff recruitment and management.
Project proposals and concept notes writing.
Preparing budgets, financial control and reporting.
Stakeholder identification and engagement.
Advocacy on refugees’ and children’s rights.
Preparation of work plans, modules and facilitation of workshops.
Providing support to a government owned secondary school specifically meant for refugee children in Zimbabwe.
Running a Non-Formal Education project for refugee children on a ‘second chance’ model.
Creating synergies for tertiary education opportunities for refugee children.
Community outreach campaigns on thematic areas for the project in particular, and country office in general.
Country office focal point person for Child Protection and Safeguarding.
Aliasing with the Regional and International offices on the project.
Preparation and submission of internal and donor reports to the Regional Office.
Specifically, under OFDA funding, but also working on WFP, UNHCR and UNICEF projects, in liaison with the Civil Protection Unit, and other internal stakeholders, distribution of non-food and food items to deserving households using set criteria.
Coordinating with the NFIs Manager and Emergency Response Coordinator on issues to do with Water and Sanitation Hygiene (WASH), and other programs running in the office.
Attending internal and external stakeholder meetings, inclusive of the Civil Protection Unit (CPU) daily updates.
Preparation of and interpretation of distribution plans.
Requesting for stocks from the Warehouse Manager and ensuring the security of ordered items.
Logistical arrangements for distribution: loading instructions, fueling and route plans for trucks to distribution points.
Caucus and public addresses at field level, wherein beneficiaries are advised of the selection criteria and indicators are used for ranking and registration.
Distribution of NFIs and food items to beneficiaries using the stipulated entitlements.
Reconciliation of distribution figures.
Reports generation and planning for the next distributions.
Assisting the country office on matters to do with children who are subjected to provide forced or coerced labour.
Stakeholder engagement, workshop preparations and facilitation, and creating synergies to ensure the smooth running of project operations.
Attending key meetings and providing guidance on project overview and mapping.
Assisting with the development of concept notes, preparation of project reports (both qualitative and quantitative), sourcing for project funding and budget monitoring.
Resilience project sites visiting, monitoring and evaluation.
Overseeing the selection of minors to be assisted by project interventions.

Summary of responsibilities:
A publishing company that publishes, markets and distributes educational material, particularly on the new education curriculum in Zimbabwe. In addition to exclusive CPS products, the company also promotes, markets and distributes Pearson/ Longman Southern Africa publications.
Educational syllabi interpretation.
Engaging in textbooks publishing: including identification and engagement of product authors.
Product evaluation: a thorough analysis of draft textbooks using the relevant syllabi and considering various facets such as prescribed methodologies, cross cutting issues, scope and sequence of material to be covered.
Product marketing: an interface with stakeholders at provincial level, including the Provincial Educational Directors, District Schools Inspectors, Schools Inspectors, School heads in all districts of the province, school staff, learners, parents, Civil Society, Non-Governmental Organizations and others. These can be in the form of heads’ meetings, workshops, merit awards ceremonies and others. On these platforms the EA engages stakeholders in a random or in-depth analysis of the CPS/Pearson material in relation to syllabi demands: juxtaposing the two to show similarities and clarification of encrypted material in the syllabi.
Summary of responsibilities: Provision of holistic and interactive learning to school pupils with specific focus on the following areas:
Advanced Level: English Language and Communication skills, Literature in English and Divinity- both Old and New Testaments.
Ordinary Level: Religious Studies and Geography.
Projects: World Food Program (WFP)’s Seasonal Targeted Assistance (STA) Food Security, Seasonal Livelihoods Programming, HIV/AIDS mitigation, Disaster Risk Reduction& WASH interventions.
Summary of responsibilities:
Engaging vulnerable communities in identified districts, further identification of vulnerable households (ensuring that gender and HIV/AIDS mainstreaming are considered) in an emergency food security project funded by WFP whereby beneficiaries received food to alleviate poverty and hunger in lieu of the sustainable development goals (SDGs). In addition, as a way of promoting sustainable development (through beneficiaries and community consultation), identification and implementation of developmental projects (such as environmental rehabilitation) which were aimed at mitigation of the donor dependency syndrome, promoting beneficiary resistance to shocks and ensuring resilience.
Pilot Project: EPOC- Establishment of a national database tracking HIV/AIDS antiretroviral (ARV) drugs intake, combinations and adherence.
Summary of responsibilities:
• Managing the team of freelance Data Capture Clerks who were engaged on the project on a part-time basis.
• In liaison with the sister or doctor on duty, accessing hard copy files for patients on ARV therapy, encoding data into the national database, including drug combinations, adherence, allergies, positive or negative changes in CD4 counts and other required data.
• Using the encoded data to analyze strengths and weaknesses of drugs, assessing adherence and making recommendations where necessary.
• Generation of both quantitative and qualitative reports, based on the above findings.
• The pilot project has since been adopted by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) and is now used to alleviate drug uptake challenges when a patient transfers to another part of the country. The database allows for a patient’s data to be available in the MoHCC system, even when they do not have their physical card, using a unique identification number.
Projects: Promoting Recovery in Zimbabwe (PRIZE) and Seasonal Targeted Assistance (STA)
Summary of activities:
Providing support to a USAID funded program with interventions including Monitoring and Evaluation of a World Food Programme Seasonal Targeted Assistance (WFP STA-Food Security), Food for Assets (FFA), Conservation Farming/ Agriculture (CF/ CA), Output Marketing, Internal Savings and Lending’s (ISAL), Humanitarian Accountability Principles (HAP) and Integrating Adolescent Girls into Development Programs.
Mainstreaming gender, human and child rights into all the above stated projects.
HIV/AIDS awareness and mitigation campaigns, including dissemination of IEC material, focus group discussions and one on one interviews.
Administrative duties as follows:
Assisting with staff supervision (Field officers, drivers and cleaners,
Data collection, collation, capturing and analysis,
Generation of program qualitative and quantitative reports,
Office administrative functions,
Human resources functions, including preparations for and conducting interviews,
Minute taking and filing,
Logistical and procurement functions, including petty cash and office fleet management, and
Workshops preparation and management, including accommodation and workshop venue bookings, stakeholder engagement and correspondence, among other duties.

Projects: Funded by USAID, DFID and SIDA.
On World Food Programme (WFP) secondment, implementing, monitoring and overseeing the delivery of a WFP food security program for Mobile and Vulnerable populations (MVPs) repatriated to Zimbabwe.
o Duties included warehousing using stipulated warehousing procedures such as First in First out (FIFO) method, stacking per Shipping Instruction (SI), commodity management, ensuring adequate security, pests and rodents control measures, including fumigation, and following proper disposal channels in the event of any food spoiling, as per WFP standards.
o Offering wet (hot) meals to MVPs at the reception and support centre (engaging food caterer, including contract negotiation and monitoring staff; ensuring adherence to ration sizes, as well as health and safety standards).
Manning (warehousing, distribution and reporting; supervising food unit staff members, including Data Capture Clerks, Driver and Field Officers working on the project) and implementing (interface with beneficiaries and stakeholders-both internal and external, including sourcing for, engaging and monitoring Implementing Partners (IPs)) a USAID funded food security project (distributing high protein energy biscuits) to MVPs accessing refugee and asylum documentation at the Musina, RSA’s Department of Home Affairs’ office.
Manning and implementing a protection project for MVPs in Musina, RSA through the provision of health/ hygiene kits, psychosocial and shelter support to Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) /Protection survivors.
Information dissemination on legal acquisition of asylum and refugee status documentation to MVPs in Musina.
Dissemination of Information, Education and Communication (IEC) material on HIV/AIDS, Safe migration, Refugee status, Labour migration and others to MVPs, in close liaison with other key stakeholders such as Medecins Sans Frontiers (MSF)/Doctors Without Borders, the United Nations’ High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) and the Musina Legal Aid Office (MLAO).
Facilitation of assisted voluntary return of migrants from South Africa to Zimbabwe, including reunification of estranged families such as survivors of xenophobia.
Human and child rights protection initiatives, including the provision of shelter, food, legal assistance and family reunification (In liaison with key stakeholders such as Save the Children Norway, The Department of Social Development, Department of Social Services, Zimbabwe Republic Police and the Immigration Departments of South Africa and Zimbabwe).
Summary of activities:
Daily running of food warehousing logistics at the transshipment depot, including receipt, commodity control and dispatch, by rail and road to designated points.
Daily data collection, collation, capturing and analysis of transshipment depot activities.
Assisting with the regular generation and provision of qualitative and quantitative reports to both internal and external stakeholders.
