• Responsibilities were mainly dealing with the internal school issues and any subsequent issues resulting in our troubleshooting, taking a bottom down approach in securing our cyber systems.
• Troubleshoot the universities switches and hubs, the conditions of these were blocked by previous students and were inaccessible. Notes on the conditions of the hardware were written down. Some were accessible and were able to be formatted, others didnt not allow access. Using the available pcs to run diagnosis and format the switches needed for university use.
• Create cables needed for transmission of the computer hardware. These cables were set using the RJ-45 cable standard coloring code. After which we tested their functionality with little room for error, providing 5 unusable and 9 created that transferred data efficiently(that is, all wiring pinging with their counterparts). After which we also tested the available cables, left unused. Untangling and testing them the same way we did to the Ethernet like cables we made. Some of the inventory proved to be working as effective with minimal crashes.
• Reporting inventory, here we assessed MS2.1 lab and its conditions. Important notes on were written pertaining the conditions of each PC
• Assisted senior IT staff with user account management, system configuration, and troubleshooting technical issues.
• Maintained documentation for system procedures and configurations.
• Gained valuable experience in a fast-paced IT environment.
