Responsibilities :
• Handling of day to day warehouse activities such as planning for Installation of Home
appliances including built-in and free standing.
• Maintaining of accurate stock of material and updating the Marketing & Sales Team of criticality.
• Focusing on Slow moving / obsolete stock for immediate liquidation to ensure optimization of
space and avoid dead inventory losses.
• Arrange space allocation for new receipt and rearrangement of material to ensure immediate
availability for shipment. Identify damaged stock for appropriate disposal method for liquidation.
• Organizing delivery schedule with least TAT and use CPM method to save resources and time.
Maintain efficiency of maximum 48 hours for delivery.
• Employ efficient methodology to ensure immediate receipt of RMA (return material) and effect
appropriate action to clear from stocks.
• Co-ordinate with Service Centre for receipt of repaired items and repack returns for Sales as per
company norms.
Key Result Areas :
• Implementation of MRP in Warehouse using Warehouse & Stores Module using EPICORE
software. I was member of Core team for implementation and QA assessment.
• Conducting of Internal Audit with Grant Thornton - auditors for readiness and conformity of Store
activities and compliance of the same.
• Administration of Company staff accomodation in terms of meeting requirements for stay and
welfare of staff confirming to Statutory Govt. Requirements.
• Reporting to Top management with MIS on day to day activities of Warehouse, highlighting
issues of concerns and solutions for immediate redressal.
Role:
• Spearheading a team of 40-50 people including 14 Officers & 37 Workmen
• Working on LN ERP Platform for handling of Finished Goods Store and Logistics
• Managing activities related to space & location of material to ensure that company operates on JIT
basis
• Looking after inbound & outbound material receipt for production issues or customer supplies
• Monitoring:
o Inbound logistics from Production floor
o Factory outbound logistics & shipment of finished goods as per Government &Statutory Country
Regulations
• Developing stores strategies considering Inventory controls & efficient use of supply chain mechanism
with regard to semi finished goods to Manufacturing unit
• Responsible for:
o Implementing ERP in Stores as Core Team Member
o Tagging slow / obsolete moving material with alternative action and scrap disposal planning
• Handled activities related to:
o Issuance of material as per requirement of Production Department
o Maintenance of ROL / safety stock levels and Minmax Stock Level
o Quotations and finalization process
o Out bounding of material to service centres / contracting agencies on the basis of BOM in CKD or SKD Form
• Accountable for:
o Indenting, ordering & receiving urgent items relating to manufacturing requirements
o Daily disposal of manufacturing scraps like metals, wood & other by product wastes
• Looked after implementation of ERP & Bar Coding for all transactions relating to movement of material

Highlights:
• Successfully introduced concept of Kanban and JIT in work process
• Efficiently introduced Part Number Concept in ETA Stores for Raw Material and Finished goods.
• Holds the distinction of implementing & using SITE ERP Platforms in Material Management Module for stock control and Shipments.
• Efficiently introduced ERP and Part Number Concept in the Raw Material Stores
Role and Responsibilities:
a) Handling of Finished Goods Stores activities, i.e. from receiving Semi Finished Products or SKD materials to dispatch of finished products under JIT concept. Also ensure that all statutory documentation is completed as per procedure.
b) Directing & managing the daily operation of the Main Stores / Warehouse; monitoring the inventory levels between the warehouse and Production; ensuring that all aspects of the supply chain remain at optimal levels.
c) Study records and recommend remedial actions for reported non-usable, slow moving and excess stock. Review records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures to determine adequacy of internal Audit.
d) Properly timing the delivery of needed materials, constant monitoring of shipments & orders, attention to forecast plans, and the ability to create a highly flexible response program as per requirement of Production.
e) Responsibilities also include establishing effective consolidation and cross-docking practices to support the needs of co-manufacturing plants and OEM customers.
f) Communicate and coordinate with all manufacturing sites and the OEM customer is required on daily basis.
g) Monitor the accuracy of receiving, transfers, debits/damages, returns-to-vendor (RTV's), and charge-backs to Accounts to maintain the accuracy of the inventory.
h) To coordinate with Logistics Dept. to ensure complete documentation and dispatch of finished goods through authorized transporters ensuring compliance of regulatory and statutory government norms.
i) Organizing and undertaking for container inspection and stuffing thru appropriate intimation.
I was employed from Jan’1999 - Sep’2003 with Mirc Electronics Ltd, designated as Manager- Stores reporting to GM - Operations. Based in Mumbai, Mirc Electronics Ltd, under ONIDA brand manufactures and markets consumer durables (electronics) with turnover of approx. Rs. 900 Crs ranking 3rd in terms of market share. My responsibility included maintaining an concurrent inventory of more then 3500 items as raw material valued at Rs. 45 Crs and Warehousing and logistical support of Finished Goods.
Achievements:
a) Implemented Stores activity through ERP: SAP /R3 Material Management.
b) Successfully motivated and guided a team of 70 people, working in two shifts towards achieving maximum output. Active Core team member of 5 S. Actively participated in various TQM projects towards reduction of Stores operating Costs and converted Stores into a profit centre.
c) Implemented JIT to ensure reduction of Working Capital and devised systems to keep inventory under control.
d) Reduced raw material procurement cost by recycling empty packing Cartons, Thermocole and Pallets as business strategy.
