A Health Environment and Development study (HEAD) study was conducted over a five year period and is a collaborative effort between the Medical Research Council (MRC), the University of Johannesburg (UJ), the University of the Witwatersrand and the City of Johannesburg (CoJ). The study was conducted in Hillbrow, Bertrams, Riverlea, Braamfischerville and Hospital Hill
