A senior program translator at Blumont, Inc. -USAID Syria Essential Services II (SES II)
• Translate a variety of material, particularly technological, engineering, and grant documentation, from English language to Arabic and vice versa.
• Organize translated material and finalize translation according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
• Assist SES II technical teams, including Project Development and Coordination Team (PDCT), Engineering, Governance and Livelihoods, Research & Analysis, Monitoring & Evaluation, and Grants, by translating data, documents, and reports.
• Proofread, edit, and revise translated materials.
• Provide the project with a grammatically correct, well-expressed final version of the translated text, usually as a word-processed document.
• Liaise with concerned parties/SES II technical teams.
• Monitor program progress toward achievement of project deliverables.
• Provide translation and logistic support for trainings, meetings, and events related to the project, including coordination meetings for IRD and other implementing partners.
• Supervise the program translator and provide guidance and consultation when needed to ensure consistency in content
• Other duties as assigned by the senior staff.
