Major responsibilities focus on R&D activities and product development for petrochemicals and downstream products:
• R&D activities: Develop new formulations of innovative products with the Identification of the valuable technology. Jointly collaborate with local credential academic research center for innovating researches.
• Front-end Research: Design and execute R&D projects by conducting product research and development from concept to launch, transfer technologies from pilot lab to pilot plant and manufacturing sites, and provide technical support for:
• New product launches coordinated with operation team to ensure success start-up production.
• Enhancing quality control evaluation methods for detergent additives, dispersant additives samples by develop validated analytical methods while adhering to GLP guidelines and SOPs.
• Prepare technical documents including SDS, product & raw material specification & formulation required by SASO for new product registration.
• Collaborated with members of other departments in order to collect, organize and report data for Statistical Process Control studies.
• Preparation of product tests including testing parameters, material and substrates; provide analysis support to QA team through operating chromatographic techniques such as GC, HPLC, and analytical techniques covering ICP-OES, XRD, XRF, TGA and FTIR; and interpret their results.
• Participated in scientist team involving R&D experiments, qualitative and quantitative analysis by operating HPLC, GC, GPC, ICP, AAS, FTIR, TGA and UV-VIS instruments; wet chemistry techniques such as extraction, distillation and titration.
• Supervising the students during experimental, analysis and laboratory work.
• Establish method SOPs for analytical techniques: ICP-OES, GC, HPLC, GPC and TGA.
• Conducting the environmental audit visit to industrial facilities.
• Reporting the findings of environmental problems and provide solutions for each problem.
• Advise on treatment and containment of the environmental impact.
• Perform quality control checks to ensure industrial facilities' compliance with the standards adopted at the Presidency of Metrology and Environment (PME).
• Maintaining accurate lab records and distribute weekly laboratory reports to the management team.
• Performed routine sample analysis and provide final test results and analysed method development and executed validation testing.
• Assist the laboratory supervisor in quality control by ensuring that all parts of the laboratory meet safety standards.
