Total years of experience :24 years, 4 Months
I designed, developed, and continue to maintain the Organization's internal web portal and public facing website, both of which are built with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. I also continue to design and develop smaller web applications to support the various programs and initiatives at the Center.
Here's a sample of some of the website I've worked on:
http://www.pscdr.org.sa/
http://accessibility.pscdr.org.sa/
http://directory.pscdr.org.sa/
I was also taksed with developing a few interactive kiosk-type applications for display in some public events that the Center participated in, in which I used Autodesk Softimage for 3D modeling, Unity 3D for application development, and Adobe AfterEffects for video compositing.
Being a startup at the time I joined it, most of my time with Proximity Information Systems was spent authoring technical proposals and giving presentations to clients. One of those engagements led to me working on a internal web application for the Ministry of the Interior that was built on Microsoft Content Management Server.
I should mention that my next employer, Prince Salman Center for Disability Research, became interested in hiring me after I gave a presentation to the Center's executive board during a bid for a project.
Arabian Advanced Systems' main product at the time was a Library Management System named Horizon from Dynic (currently SirsiDynix), which was a huge client/server application built with a mix of Modula-2, C, C++, and the Win32 API. I was employed mainly for my experience with C++ and Windows development.
I was responsible for localizing new versions of the application as they became available. The process involved modifying the application's code to support Arabic indexing and searching, and adding some features that were specific to certain clients.
When I wasn't working on that, I worked on several web development projects using ASP and ASP.NET.
I was tasked with leading a small team of developers to implement a web portal catering to Architects and construction companies in Saudi Arabia. Although we managed to deliver the required functionality, the idea didn't take off, and the investors disbanded the company. I gained a lot of valuable experience in working with Microsoft Internet Information Server, Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft ASP during that time, especially in regards to developing Arabic-enabled web applications using these tools.
I worked on in-house enterprize management and collaboration intranet using Visual Basic, Exchange Server, and LDAP technologies.
This workshop, taught by top professional animators from Disney and DreamWorks Animation Studios, teaches the basics of 3D character animation in using Autodesk Maya.
